  • Publication number: 20240178926
Abstract: Methods, apparatuses and computer program products for locating sources of potential interference in frequency bands of carrier signals used by cells of a plurality of base stations of a cellular radio communication system are disclosed. The method comprises receiving data representative of power spectral density, PSD, in carrier signals across different frequency bands received at the base stations for cells of the communication system over time intervals. The cells are clustered based on features of the received PSD data that distinguish between a normal received signal and an abnormal received signal subject to potential interference.

  • Publication number: 20240133045
Abstract: The acid-induced steel corrosion inhibitor based on rotten eggs provides a corrosion inhibitor that is biodegradable, has low toxicity, is water-soluble, easily produced, and is low-cost through the use of waste material, namely, white eggs (EWs). The corrosion inhibitor is added to a corrosive medium in an aqueous medium to protect the metal surfaces and steel interfaces on metal production equipment, such as pumps, tubing, and casing. The corrosion inhibitor based on rotten white eggs is loaded with metal nanoparticles (EWMNPs). The eco-friendly less destructive corrosion inhibitors based on metal nanoparticles synthesized with rotten white eggs are efficient to protect steel from corrosion, while still dissolving in oil streams produced without or with salt water and being soluble in acidic mediums containing chlorides. The corrosion inhibitors have low toxicity to marine life when discharged into the ocean, thereby protecting the marine life, particularly near the system's drain.

  • Publication number: 20240094592
Abstract: Disclosed herein is an integrated photonics device including an on-chip wavelength stability monitor. The wavelength stability monitor may include one or more interferometric components, such as Mach-Zehnder interferometers and can be configured to select among the output signals from the interferometric components for monitoring the wavelength emitted by a corresponding photonic component, such as a light source. The selection may be based on a slope of the output signal and in some examples may correspond to a working zone at or around a wavelength or wavelength range. In some examples, the interferometric components can be configured with different phase differences such that the corresponding working zones have different wavelengths. In some examples, the slopes of the output signals may be weighted based on the steepness of the slope and all of the output signals may include information for wavelength locking the measured wavelength to the target wavelength.

  • Publication number: 20240069638
Abstract: Disclosed in the present invention is an electromagnetic-based haptic device that utilizes a flat wire coil type to provide the user with kinesthetic feedback in mid-air without direct contact. The invention comprises an array of flat wire coils, a localization system, a cooling fluid source, a magnetic agent attached to a stylus or a wearable device, current drivers and computer software. The flat wire coil comprises longitudinal packed flat conductive turns, each two turns are separated by an axial air gap. The cooling fluid source generates a fluid flow to pass over the surfaces of the coils to dissipate the heat generated by the device during the operation. The array of flat-wire coils is used to generate controlled magnetic fields and magnetic field gradients at a point in the workspace, the magnetic agent is attached to a wearable device or a handhold stylus to translate the magnetic fields/magnetic fields gradients to forces/torques feedback and thus haptic sensation.

  • Patent number: 11827858
Abstract: Methods and systems for optimizing the gas-oil separation plant (GOSP) operating parameters in order to maximize the stabilized crude oil recovery in an integrated framework of GOSP operation. The ambient temperature variations daily (day and night) and seasonal (summer and winter) are incorporated to show their impact on liquid recovery. An artificial intelligence model predicts stabilized crude oil recovery for a range of ambient temperatures. The optimal GOSP separator pressures which yield maximum stabilized crude oil recovery are determined for each ambient temperature. The separator pressures of the GOSP may be adjusted to achieve the maximum stabilized crude oil recovery under changing ambient temperatures.
