  • Publication number: 20210409947
Abstract: A method for establishing a trusted session between a first computing device and a computer server includes obtaining identifying information for the first computing device and a second computing device. The identifying information includes identifying information corresponding to the networks to which each of the computing devices are directly connected. Based on the identifying information it may be determined that there is sufficient correspondence between the first and second computing devices. If so, an indication is sent to the second computing device requesting confirmation that the first computing device should be authenticated to the account. An indication confirming this may then be received and, responsive thereto, the first computing device is authenticated to the account. Related computer systems and computer-readable media are also disclosed.

  • Publication number: 20200380521
Abstract: A simulator for providing teaching and training related to negotiable instruments is disclosed. The provided simulation includes a simulated negotiable instrument. The simulator captures an image of a portion of an environment including a piece of printed collateral. The simulator then displays an augmented reality version of the environment. Displaying the augmented reality version of the environment includes detecting the printed collateral in the image, replacing the printed collateral in the image of the portion of the environment with an image of the negotiable instrument to yield an image depicting the portion of the environment as including the negotiable instrument, and presenting, the image depicting the portion of the environment as including the negotiable instrument. The simulator provides an indication of an outcome of a simulated negotiation of the negotiable instrument. Related methods and computer-readable media are disclosed.

  • Publication number: 20200356776
Abstract: Systems and methods of augmenting objects associated with personal data. A system includes a communication module, a processor, and a memory. The memory stores instructions that, when executed, configure the processor to authenticate a client device based on a credential associated with an account record. The processor receives, from the client device, an indication of a document marker and obtains, from the account record, personal data associated with the document marker. The processor transmits, to the client device, display data based on the personal data. The display data configures the client device to display an augmented reality output based on the personal data and at least one further image of the document. The personal data may include dynamic data varying over time. The display data configuring the client device to display the augmented output may be based on current personal data obtained from the account record.

  • Patent number: 10620974
Abstract: Techniques are described for rendering a gallery control to a graphical user interface (GUI), the gallery control including first and second template replicas. For each template replica, a GUI-rendering component is instructed to render the template replica, a read application programming interface (API) call is placed to the GUI-rendering component, a target size of the template replica is determined based on the results of the read API call, and a write API call is scheduled to instruct the GUI-rendering component to update the dimension of the template replica to the target size. In response to determining that the target size of the dimension of either template replica is different than a default size, a write API call is placed to the GUI-rendering component to update an offset associated with each template replica and the scheduled write API calls are placed to the GUI-rendering component.

  • Patent number: 8030788
Abstract: A method and system for an engine starter/generator is provided. The starter/generator system includes a three phase squirrel cage induction machine, a three phase inverter/converter electrically coupled to the three phase squirrel cage induction machine. The starter/generator system also includes a bidirectional DC-DC converter electrically coupled to the three phase inverter/converter, and a digital control board configured to sensorlessly determine a rotor angle from a plurality of phase currents to the induction machine during a start mode. During the start mode, logic in the digital control board configures the starter/generator system into a combination of an induction motor, a three phase DC-AC inverter, and a DC-DC boost converter, and during a generate mode, the logic in the digital control board configures the starter/generator system into a combination of an induction generator, a three phase AC-DC converter, and a DC-DC buck converter.
