  • Publication number: 20240142417
Abstract: An automatic online analyzer validation and calibration system receives operating parameter input signals from sensors, receives a measured value of a selected process variable from a physical analyzer, determines a difference between the measured value and an inferred value of the selected process variable determined by a controller based on the operating parameter input signals using an inferential analyzer; and if the difference between the measured value and the inferred value exceeds a threshold, initiates a recalibration of the physical analyzer or recalibration of the inferential analyzer. In one example, the automatic online analyzer validation and calibration is used in a gas dehydration system to validate and calibrate a physical moisture analyzer.

  • Publication number: 20240124340
Abstract: A system and a method for removing gas field chemicals from a feed stream are provided. An exemplary method includes performing a forward osmosis on a feed stream including gas field chemicals to form a concentrated feed stream, and treating the concentrated feed stream in an electrochemical process to form treated water.

  • Publication number: 20240053305
Abstract: A method may include transporting a water stream comprising water and a biocide from an upstream location to a downstream location, withdrawing a sample of the water stream to a sample collection and analyses system, preconditioning the sample, injecting the preconditioned sample into an online gas chromatography analyzer, measuring a concentration of the biocide in the sample via the online gas chromatography analyzer to obtain a measurement result, transmitting the measurement result to a control system, and adjusting by the control system, automatically injecting biocide into the water stream at the upstream location based on the biocide dosage requirement on either a batch, or semi-batch, or a continuous basis. A system for measuring and controlling biocide concentration in a water stream in a pipeline may include a sample probe, a cabinet heater, a filtering unit, an online gas chromatography analyzer, a control system, and an injection system.

  • Publication number: 20240053317
Abstract: To analytically determine concentration of dissolved gases in a water pipeline, a water sample is drawn from a source carrying water with dissolved gas, through a water source port of a four-way valve. The water sample is flowed from the water source port towards a syringe port of the valve and into a syringe fluidically coupled to the syringe port to hold the water sample. Inert gas is drawn through an inert gas port of the valve from an inert gas source and is flowed from the inert gas port towards the syringe port and into the syringe. A mixture of the water sample and the inert gas is flowed from the syringe port towards an analyzer port of the valve and into an analyzer fluidically coupled to the analyzer port.
