    Abstract: A satellite communication module for a vehicle. The module includes an electronic control unit and at least one antenna capable of communicating with a plurality of satellites that are characterized by a predefined orbital trajectory and the same predefined speed. The at least one antenna being configurable according to a plurality of configurations, each configuration allowing the at least one antenna to radiate in an angular window, each angular window corresponding to an area of the sky that is characterized by a longitudinal coordinate and a transverse coordinate. The control unit includes a memory area. The memory area including a calibration table of the at least one antenna. The control circuit being configured to adapt the radiation of the at least one antenna so that the antenna radiates in the direction of the at least one determined angular window during the corresponding given time interval.

    Abstract: A method for activating a vehicle function, by an activation device including a transceiver to communicate with “hands-free” access equipment. The method includes the following steps for at least two consecutive footsteps: transmission of a signal comprising data of the gyroscope and the magnetometer of the “hands-free” equipment to the vehicle; comparison of the data with representative values of the gyroscope and the magnetometer of the transceiver; determination of a first direction of the user; determination of a second direction of the user based on an estimation of a first angle of arrival of the signal towards the transceiver; comparison of the first direction and the second direction; activation of the vehicle function on the basis of the result of the comparison.

    Abstract: A method for scanning for presence inside a vehicle, using a scanning device including at least one internal and one external ultra-wideband transceiver module for locating portable “hands-free” access equipment carried by a user. The device has an Ultra High Frequency communicator for communicating with the equipment. The method includes: a) detecting locking of the vehicle; b) for a predetermined duration: i) scanning for presence inside the vehicle with the internal module; ii) simultaneously transmitting a request to the equipment for detecting a U-turn by the user; iii) if a U-turn signal is received, stopping scanning and determining the position of the user with the two modules; iv) if presence is detected inside the vehicle, stopping scanning and transmitting a warning; c) when the duration has elapsed, if no U-turn signal is received and if no presence is detected, the position of the user is determined with the two modules.
