  • Patent number: 11538318
Abstract: In some embodiments, a security device comprises a context information intake device, a sensor, and a controller. The controller is configured to activate the context information intake device when the sensor detects an activation event initiated by an object such that the context information intake device records context information associated with the object; and perform a context-aware cryptographic process to cryptographically authenticate the object using attribute-based access control based on the recorded context information associated with the object.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: July 24, 2020
Date of Patent: December 27, 2022
    Assignee: LG Electronics, Inc.
Inventors: Harsh Kupwade Patil, Mohamed Elfataoui

  • Patent number: 10726692
Abstract: The present invention relates to a security apparatus comprising: a camera; a sensing unit; and a control unit, wherein the control unit activates the camera according to detection of an object within a predetermined range through the sensing unit, records an image photographed by the activated camera, extracts a feature from the recorded image, determines whether the recorded image includes biometric data, and when the recorded image includes the biometric data, determines whether the recorded image includes a pre-recognized object.

  • Patent number: 7873686
Abstract: An electrical signal filter for processing a discrete-time real signal having a length N. In one embodiment, the filter comprising a delay line having N taps and a corresponding respective N filter coefficients. Values for the filter coefficients are determined by first shifting an impulse function of length N by a fraction of N so as to obtain a shifted impulse function. An analytic-signal-generating method is then applied to the impulse function so as to output the filter coefficient values. The values are then assigned to the N taps to complete the filter.
    Type: Grant

Date of Patent: January 18, 2011
Assignee: The University of Vermont and State Agricultural College
