Abstract: A method may include sending a contention resolution message for a random access procedure from a user equipment (UE) through a physical uplink channel in a wireless communication network, and sending a repetition of the contention resolution message from the UE through the physical uplink channel. The physical uplink channel may include a physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH). The method may further include selecting a preamble from a first preamble group corresponding to a capability of the UE to send the repetition of the contention resolution message, and sending the preamble from the UE. Selecting the preamble from the first preamble group may include selecting a preamble from a first preamble sub-group corresponding to the capability of the UE to send the repetition of the contention resolution message.

Abstract: A system and a method are disclosed for synchronization performed by a UE in a coexistence band of a first communication scheme and a second communication scheme. A method includes determining if a base station or another UE synchronized with the base station is detected, in response to determining that neither the base station nor the another UE synchronized with the base station is detected, determining if a first UE that is resending a first synchronization reference signal based on a second synchronization reference signal of the second communication scheme is detected, wherein the first UE includes a modem corresponding to the first communication scheme, and in response to detecting the first UE that is resending the first synchronization reference signal, synchronizing to the first UE.

Abstract: Methods and apparatuses are provided in which a user equipment (UE) determines a resource pool for reception of a sidelink (SL)-positioning reference signal (PRS). The UE receives a slot and determines whether the slot includes resources in the resource pool for the SL-PRS. The UE decodes SL control information (SCI) of the slot using a first format for the SL-PRS, in case that the slot includes the resources in the resource pool.

Abstract: A system and a method are provided in which a user equipment (UE) obtains a positioning reference signal (PRS) configuration message from an anchor UE based on a basic safety message (BSM) of the anchor UE. The UE receives a sidelink PRS from the anchor UE based on the PRS configuration message, and perform a positioning measurement based on the received PRS.

Abstract: A battery inverter system includes a plurality of battery inverter units, wherein each of the battery inverter units includes a multiphase inverter and a battery unit connected to the inverter on the DC side. The battery unit includes a plurality of individual units connected in parallel to one another and protected against overcurrent by means of rack fuses, and the battery inverter units are connected in parallel on the AC side and are configured to operate with a common drive pulse pattern. The battery inverter units are interconnected on the DC side via compensation fuses, wherein the compensation fuses are provided such that in the event of a short circuit in one of the inverters, the compensation fuses are triggered faster than the rack fuses.

Abstract: A computer-implemented method, system and computer program product for providing predictions tailored for a specific domain. Each field within a set of datasets is classified with a concept defined in a domain specific ontology. After receiving a target field and identifying a target concept tagged to the target field, concepts that have an influential impact directly to the target concept or indirectly to a concept tagged to a field associated with the target field are identified. Fields are then identified as candidates for predictors from the identified concepts using a semantic relationship and a numeric association combined approach. An influential confidence score and a numeric analytics score are then calculated for each of these candidates upon which a final confidence score is computed. The identified candidates are ranked based on the final confidence scores, and the top ranked candidates for predictors are selected to build a statistical model.

Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed for transmission by a UE in a coexistence band of a first communication scheme and a second communication scheme. A method includes identifying that the UE is operating on a shared carrier; determining whether a beginning of a first communication scheme slot coincides with a beginning of a second communication scheme subframe on the shared carrier; in response to determining that the beginning of the first communication scheme slot coincides with the beginning of the second communication scheme subframe, performing energy detection; and performing a first type of slot transmission based on energy detected for an overlapping subframe of the second communication scheme subframe being less than a first threshold.

Abstract: A system and a method are disclosed resource selection by a UE in a coexistence band. the method includes obtaining, through a first communication scheme modem, a set of candidate resources for resource selection within a resource selection window, and first sensing information for potential resources for transmission, obtaining, through a second communication scheme modem, resource information corresponding to the second communication scheme, the resource information including second sensing information and future reservations; processing the resource information corresponding to the second communication scheme with the first sensing information; excluding resources, which are identified as occupied based on the processed information, from the set of candidate resources for resource selection for use by the first communication scheme; and selecting a resource for use by first communication scheme from remaining resources within the set of candidate resources after the excluding.

Abstract: The present technology pertains to providing an improved user experience for user accounts taking group rideshare rides. In some aspects of the present technology, a rideshare service can use ride experience data relating to a group rideshare ride experience by a user account to determine that a user associated with the user account might have reason to be dissatisfied with the group rideshare ride, and can compensate the user account. In some aspects of the present technology, a rideshare service can proactively suggest a group rideshare itinerary to a user account when the group itinerary matches a previous itinerary arranged by the user account, and the suggested group rideshare itinerary can be offered at a preferred charge. In some aspects of the present technology, a rideshare service can permit a user account to create an organized carpool ride with other invited user accounts.

Abstract: A fleet management system implements a rewards-based feedback system to receive feedback from users of a rideshare service that provides rides using autonomous vehicles (AVs). The fleet management system maintains user accounts associated with each user and provides reward points to each user account. When the user is riding in an AV, the user can access a user interface to select a portion of the reward points and reward them to the AV. The fleet management system may analyze the point rewards to identify individual user preferences, to identify preferences across users, or to identify AVs for maintenance or other types of modification.

Abstract: A system and a method are disclosed for improving resource selection schemes is provided. In an embodiment, Scheme 2 resource selection is improved by using a Sidelink Feedback Channel (PSFCH) resources to identify specific instances of conflicts in a periodic reservation of a resource. In an embodiment, Scheme 1 resource selection is improved by allowing a user equipment (UE) to include non-preferred resources in a candidate resource set based on one or more conditions and/or subject to one or more limitations. In an embodiment, condition triggered resource selection assistance is improved by restricting a UE from sending resource selection assistance information unless a second condition is satisfied.

Abstract: A system and a method are disclosed for sending enhanced feedback through PSFCH resources. In an embodiment, a receiving user equipment (Rx UE) determines that enhanced feedback is to be sent to a transmitting user equipment (Tx UE), such as based on resource pool configuration, a request from the Tx UE for enhanced feedback, or detection of a triggering event. The Rx UE encodes the enhanced feedback into a combination of a plurality of PSFCH resources based on an encoding scheme. The Rx UE then transmits the encoded feedback information in the plurality of PSFCH resources.
