In one aspect, a method includes at a time instant, transmitting an acoustic signal across a cross-section of a pipeline flowing multiphase fluid including gaseous fluid and liquid fluid, wherein a portion of the acoustic signal is carried through the cross-section of the pipeline by the multiphase fluid and determining, at the time instant, a first quantity of the gaseous fluid and a second quantity of the liquid fluid passing the cross-section of the pipeline based, in part, on an energy of the portion of the acoustic signal carried through the cross-section and at least a portion of a total energy of the transmitted acoustic signal.

    Abstract: A method of lining a tube using a spoolable liner includes connecting a connector to a distal end of the spoolable liner. The connector and spoolable liner are inserted into the tube and are advanced to a tube engagement point. A distal connection is formed between the spoolable liner and the tube by attaching the connector to an engagement mechanism at the tube engagement point. A proximal end of the spoolable liner is established and a proximal connection is formed between the proximal end and the tube. The spoolable liner is plugged with a deployable plug in a vicinity of the distal end and with a termination in a vicinity of the proximal end. An interior area is filled with a fluid such that the fluid expands the spoolable liner against an interior wall of the tube.

The detachable SCU anchoring seal can be positioned in an un-deployed position that enables the detachable SCU anchoring seal to pass through production tubing disposed in the wellbore and in a deployed position that provides the seal. The detachable SCU anchoring seal is releasably coupled to the SCU body and has an internal passage having an internal diameter that is equal to or greater than an external diameter of the SCU body such that the detachable SCU anchoring seal can be deployed in the wellbore and decoupled from the SCU body to enable the SCU body to be moved through the internal passage of the SCU anchoring seal while deployed in the wellbore.

The water-cut meter includes a conduit configured to receive the multiphase mixture, and a probe array configured to measure a cross-sectional area of the conduit. Optionally, the probe array is configured to operate at a single high frequency, for example, 1 to 3 GHz, to minimize conductivity loss relative to capacitance. The flow meter further includes a processor configured to transmit a signal to the probe array and to receive a reflected signal from the probe array using a single channel. The processor is further configured to calculate the water cut and the salinity of the multiphase mixture based on a single complex permittivity of the multiphase mixture calculated from the received reflected signal.
