  • Patent number: 10678976
Abstract: Aspects of the disclosed technology relate to techniques for protocol analysis during a circuit design verification process. A protocol-specific message capture unit captures messages while or after being transmitted over one or more communication channels between a circuit design model and one or more target devices. A protocol-independent interface unit receives signals carrying the messages and information for processing the messages from the protocol-specific message capture unit. After processing the messages, the protocol-independent interface unit sends the messages to an analysis unit for analyzing the messages based on a protocol file. The analysis unit may then output the messages for displaying.

  • Publication number: 20190191812
Abstract: A hat capable of forced air cooling comprises a shell and a liner between which an air passage is formed. A fan forces air through the air passage, the air having been cooled by a phase change material carried on the hat. The liner can have grooves that channel the cooled air above and around the top of the person's head to ventilation vents at the front of the hat. The hat can have a solar cell for charging a battery and a temperature controller that manages operation of the fan.

  • Patent number: 9591564
Abstract: Energy efficient scheduling can be achieved by computing scheduling assignments in accordance with a transmit point (TP) muting utility. More specifically, candidate scheduling assignments that mute different combinations of transmit points are evaluated to determine which offers the highest utility. A greedy approach can be used to evaluate the candidate scheduling assignments in order to reduce the computational complexity of the scheduler. For example, a set of scheduling assignments may be evaluated during each iteration in a sequence of iterations, with each scheduling assignment muting a different one of the remaining TPs. At the end of each iteration, the scheduling assignment providing the highest utility is selected, and the TP muted by that scheduling assignment is muted during all succeeding iterations.

  • Patent number: 9390161
Abstract: The present invention is a method and system for the extraction of keyphrases from natural text. For the purpose of this document, keyphrases are text segments that represent the main topic of a text. The method of the present invention may facilitate keyphrase extraction from any length of text. The text may be of several varieties, such as, for example a sentence, paragraph, document or collection of documents. Phrase separator methods may be applied to the text to extract phrases from the text. From these phrases the present invention may identify the one or more phrases that are integral to the meaning of the text and these may be identified as the keyphrases of the text. The text may be indexed using the keyphrases so that a search based upon any of the keyphrases will cause search engines and/or text retrieval means to retrieve the text.
