Publication number: 20250126212Abstract: The technologies described herein are generally directed toward selectively merging subscriptions to performance indicator information. In an embodiment, a method can include receiving, from an extended application device, a first request for a subscription to be enabled to receive a first set of performance indicator information applicable to a network, wherein the controller device is associated with the network. The method can further include comparing the first request to an established subscription to receive a second set of network performance indicator information applicable to the network, resulting in a comparison result. Further, the method can include communicating a second request that was generated based on the comparison result.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 16, 2023Publication date: April 17, 2025Inventors: Amr Morsey, Mohamed Shaaban, Sara Nasr, Ahmed Hossam Abdelfattah

Publication number: 20240430663Abstract: The technology described herein is directed towards maintaining an interval group data structure of one or more interval groups that each contain ranges of one or more available values such as subscription identifiers. The subscription identifiers can be used by a radio access network (RAN) intelligent controller (a near-real-time RIC) for xApp-to-E2 node subscriptions. When a subscription identifier is needed, a value from an interval group is selected and returned, and removed from the interval group as no longer being eligible for use, until released. This can be the lowest value in the lowest interval group. When a subscription identifier is released, the value is reinserted into the interval group data structure. This may be by modifying an existing interval group, or creating a new interval group for the released value. Reinsertion can result in two (or three) adjacent interval groups, which can be merged into a single interval group.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 23, 2023Publication date: December 26, 2024Inventors: Amr Morsey, Mohamed Shaaban, Yassin Chaddad, Loay Elshall
