  • Publication number: 20210378995
Abstract: Microvascular dysfunction remains a major contributor to the development of skin complications. The inventors assessed the impact of the local inhibition of soluble epoxide hydrolase (sEH), which metabolizes vasodilator and anti-inflammatory epoxyeicosanoids, on the diabetic skin microvascular dysfunction. The inventors have therefore developed some formulations of sEH inhibitors (GSK2256294 and t-AUCB) for topical administration. In particular, they show that an aqueous gel containing 400 mg/L t-AUCB dissolved in 50% dimethy lsulfo xide (DMSO) allowed a stable and continuous diffusion of t-AUCB from 2 hours after application on skin pig ears to over a period of 24 h. Compared to a control gel, the gel with t-AUCB did not significantly modify the basal skin blood flow but improved the altered hyperemic response of db/db mice 2 hours after application.

  • Patent number: 8865887
Abstract: The present invention relates to a novel method for synthesizing a composition of polymers, copolymers, terpolymers and tetrapolymers, and to the use thereof, said composition being made from: cyclodextrins, in particular ?-cyclodextrin, ?-cyclodextrin, ?-cyclodextrin, the derivatives or corresponding mixtures thereof, and/or calix[n]arene(s) and/or of calix[n]arene derivative(s) and/or a mixture of two or more different calix[n]arenes selected from calix[n]arenes (n=4-20) and/or the derivatives thereof, and to the uses thereof. A method was developed on the basis of direct-melt polycondensation. The invention can be used in the pharmaceutical, human medicine, veterinary medicine, chemistry, separation chemistry, environmental, electronics, biological, diagnostics, phytosanitation, medicinal food, agri-food, and cosmetics fields, and in the nutraceutical field and in the field of molecular imprints (MIP).

  • Publication number: 20130012613
Abstract: A method synthesizes a composition of polymers, copolymers, terpolymers and tetrapolymers. The composition may be made by combining in a reaction chamber, a crosslinking agent and one or more of a calix[n]arene, cyclodextrin, a mixture of a plurality of calix[n]arenes, different cyclodextrins, derivatives of calix[n]arenes, and derivatives of cyclodextrins, stirring the mixture, making a solid residue using microwaves, washing the solid residue, drying some of the wash, filtering some of the wash, and drying the resulting filtered solution. The composition may include alpha-cyclodextrin, beta-cyclodextrin, gamma-cyclodextrin, the derivatives or corresponding mixtures thereof, and/or calix[n]arene(s) and/or of calix[n]arene derivative(s) and/or a mixture of two or more different calix[n]arenes selected from calix[n]arenes (n=4-20) and/or the derivatives thereof.

  • Publication number: 20090130218
Abstract: The invention concerns a mixture of inclusion complexes comprising or consisting of (1) at least two different cyclodextrins selected among alpha-, beta- and gamma cyclodextrin and/or derivatives thereof, in particular derivatives thereof modified by primary and/or secondary hydroxyl groups, and (2) at least one oleaginous substance, in particular selected among animal, vegetable or synthetic oils. The invention also concerns a composition comprising or consisting of such a mixture, the use of such a mixture for preparing a medicine and a method for preparing such inclusion complexes.

  • Patent number: 5718905
Abstract: A nanoparticulate system prepared by: 1) preparing a liquid phase essentially consisting of a solution of cyclodextrin modified by acyl groups in an organic solvent or solvent mixture, an active molecule being optionally added thereto; 2) preparing a second liquid phase essentially consisting of water or an aqueous mixture optionally containing one or more surfactants, and optionally having an active molecule added thereto; and 3) gently stirring one of the liquid phases resulting from 1) or 2) into the other in order to obtain, almost instantaneously, a colloidal solution of modified cyclodextrin nanospheres. If required, all or part of the solvent and all or part of the water may be removed. The system may be used as a carrier for pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, chemicals, etc.
