Publication number: 20240098563Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive information identifying a recovery time associated with packet data convergence protocol (PDCP) communication using a reordering timer, wherein a distribution of recovered PDCP counts associated with the PDCP communication is associated with a configured characteristic for a packet recovery time. The UE may communicate on a link using a communication configuration associated with a correlation between the packet recovery time and a link characteristic. Numerous other aspects are described.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 19, 2022Publication date: March 21, 2024Inventors: Mohammad ASHRAF, Ankur SRIVASTAVA, Rahul MARINGANTI, Anushka NAYSE, Vivek BINDAL

Patent number: 11904959Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for detecting water within an electronic power steering assembly. A sensor assembly includes a resistor and a water-sensitive capacitor arranged to provide a series resistor-capacitor (RC) network having a cut-off frequency that is a function of a capacitance of the water-sensitive capacitor. An oscillator provides an excitation to the series RC network having a known frequency, such that the series RC network provides an output in response to the excitation. An envelope detector receives the output of the series RC network and generates an output representing an amplitude of the output of the series RC network. A microcontroller determines if water is present within the electronic power steering assembly from the amplitude of the output of the series RC network.Type: GrantFiled: October 7, 2021Date of Patent: February 20, 2024Assignee: ZF Active Safety and Electronics US LLCInventors: Abraham Ghafari, Mohammad Ashraf Ali

Publication number: 20220151021Abstract: Methods and apparatus to handle unordered signaling radio bearer (SRB) packets are disclosed. In some aspects, the apparatus may be a user equipment (UE) or a base station. The apparatus may receive a signaling radio bearer (SRB) packet, buffer it in a radio link control (RLC)-to-Packet Data Convergence Protocol (PDCP) reordering window, and selectively forward or discard the SRB packet based upon a reordering timer with a first expiration period that is greater than a second expiration period associated with a data radio bearer (DRB) reordering timer, to give the apparatus extra time to receive a missing SRB packet while maintaining a shorter latency for DRB packets. In some aspects, the apparatus may detect an out-of-order (OOO) SRB packet and request retransmission without waiting for a sending communications device to check on receive status.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 11, 2020Publication date: May 12, 2022Inventors: Ansah Ahmed SHEIK, Mohammad ASHRAF

Patent number: 10891131Abstract: A decode unit to decode an instruction that indicates a source packed data that includes data elements, and indicates a source mask that includes mask elements. Each of the mask elements corresponds to a different one of the data elements. Each of the mask elements is one of a masked mask element and an unmasked mask element. The processor also includes an execution unit coupled with the decode unit. The execution unit, in response to the instruction, is to store a result packed data. When the source packed data includes one or more masked data elements disposed within unmasked data elements, the result packed data includes, the unmasked data elements consolidated together without the one or more masked data elements disposed within them. The execution unit, is to store a result in a second destination storage location that reflects a number of the unmasked data elements consolidated together.Type: GrantFiled: September 22, 2016Date of Patent: January 12, 2021Assignee: Intel CorporationInventors: Mohammad Ashraf Bhuiyan, Brian R.
