  • Patent number: 12395274
Abstract: A wireless communication device is described. The wireless communication device includes a memory and a processor in electronic communication with the memory. The processor is configured to determine a packet data convergence protocol (PDCP) packet count corresponding to a last radio link control (RLC) packet received in-sequence. The processor is also configured to detect a missing PDCP packet based on a comparison of the PDCP packet count and a sequence number of a last PDCP packet received in-sequence.

  • Patent number: 12376191
Abstract: Methods and apparatus to handle unordered signaling radio bearer (SRB) packets are disclosed. In some aspects, the apparatus may be a user equipment (UE) or a base station. The apparatus may receive a signaling radio bearer (SRB) packet, buffer it in a radio link control (RLC)-to-Packet Data Convergence Protocol (PDCP) reordering window, and selectively forward or discard the SRB packet based upon a reordering timer with a first expiration period that is greater than a second expiration period associated with a data radio bearer (DRB) reordering timer, to give the apparatus extra time to receive a missing SRB packet while maintaining a shorter latency for DRB packets. In some aspects, the apparatus may detect an out-of-order (OOO) SRB packet and request retransmission without waiting for a sending communications device to check on receive status.

  • Publication number: 20250193733
Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive information identifying a recovery time associated with packet data convergence protocol (PDCP) communication using a reordering timer, wherein a distribution of recovered PDCP counts associated with the PDCP communication is associated with a configured characteristic for a packet recovery time. The UE may communicate on a link using a communication configuration associated with a correlation between the packet recovery time and a link characteristic. Numerous other aspects are described.

  • Publication number: 20240267189
Abstract: Aspects are provided allowing a MSIM UE to transmit a controlled pattern of fake HARQ-ACK and a controlled RLC status report in response to un-decoded data transmissions from a base station, while suspending SRS antenna switching during performance of an activity in a different network subscription, in order to relieve MCS penalties in response to such suspension while minimizing RLC holes. The UE sends a plurality of SRSs to a base station in a first network using a first SIM of the UE, where each of the SRSs is sent using a different antenna. The UE suspends SRS transmission from the different antennas while performing an activity in a second network using a second SIM of the UE. The UE sends a HARQ-ACK to the base station while the SRS transmission is suspended in response to at least one of a plurality of un-decoded data transmissions from the base station.

  • Patent number: 11101871
Abstract: In a particular implementation, a method of wireless communication includes searching, at a user equipment (UE) having a first subscriber identity module (SIM) and a second SIM, transmit beams from a base station and receive beams from the UE to determine a subset of transmit beams. The method also includes storing indicators of the subset of transmit beams in a database accessible to the UE in response to the second SIM performing a particular operation that causes the first SIM to perform a tune away operation. The method further includes, after completion of the particular operation, performing measurement operations on the subset of transmit beams to select a particular transmit beam of the subset of transmit beams and a corresponding particular receive beam for attachment to the base station.
