Abstract: Handle assemblies and methods of operating same. A handle assembly for a carrying case includes an elongate body defining a handle portion and a plurality of apertures. The handle assembly also includes a release member including a plurality of projections. The release member is coupled with the elongate body in a first position, wherein each projection is disposed within a respective aperture of the elongate body. Further, the handle assembly includes a panel coupled with the elongate body. The panel includes a latch member. The latch member is in selective engagement with an individual aperture of the plurality of apertures. The release member is movable relative to the elongate body from the first position to a second position, in which one of the projections of the plurality of projections interferes with the latch member and moves it out of engagement with the individual aperture.

Abstract: A case handle assembly comprising a case handle is disclosed. In particular embodiments, the case handle is attached to a lid and extends the length of the lid. The case handle may fit into a depth defined by a mounting area on the top of the lid so that the top of the case is flush. A locking mechanism may be utilized to lock the case handle to the lid.
