  • Patent number: 12594924
Abstract: A method for diagnostic monitoring of a vehicle brake-by-wire system for a vehicle may include recording a reference excitation profile of a reference brake-by-wire unit. The method further may include identifying one or more characteristic functions of the reference brake-by-wire unit based at least in part on the reference excitation profile. The method further may include determining a performance of a vehicle brake-by-wire unit based at least in part on the one or more characteristic functions. The method further may include performing a diagnostic action based at least in part on the performance of the vehicle brake-by-wire unit.

  • Publication number: 20260028025
Abstract: A method of operating a vehicle includes receiving brake sensor data indicative of measured actuator outputs of a decentralized brake system's brake actuators. For each brake actuator, a vehicle controller calculates: a normalized corner output using the measured actuator output and a commanded target output for that brake actuator, and a weighted average using the normalized corner output of that brake actuator and a vehicle-calibrated weight value determined from the vehicle's current speed and steering angle. The controller calculates an actuator error percentage as an absolute value of a mathematical difference between the weighted averages of the brake actuators, and detects an actuator fault when the actuator error percentage exceeds a vehicle-calibrated fault deviation threshold determined from the vehicle's current speed and steering angle.

  • Publication number: 20160235150
Abstract: A cap has a rounded body for fitting over a wearer's head, the body having a lower rim, a front portion, a rear portion, a left side and a right side, and a visor permanently or adjustably secured to extend across the front portion of the cap body at an angle to the lower rim, with the visor extending across part or all of a front portion of the cap body at an upward angle from the left side towards the right side or from the right side towards the left side of the cap body.
