    Abstract: The present invention provides a system, method and apparatus for parallel information transmission in wireless communication systems. More specifically, the present invention provides a method of transmitting information over a transmission medium by receiving a set of serial symbols or bits representing the information to be transmitted during a frame (502), encoding the set of serial symbols or bits into one or more sets of parallel channel symbols or bits (504), and transmitting the one or more sets of parallel channel symbols or bits the frame (506). The present invention also provides a method of receiving information over a transmission medium by receiving a set of parallel channel symbols or bits during a frame (1302) and decoding the set of parallel channel symbols or bits into a set of serial symbols or bits representing the information transmitted (1304).
