  • Publication number: 20230074320
Abstract: The present invention is a system and method for formation and packaging of a rechargeable battery. Battery is packaged with multiple modules with each module containing cells of different sizes. A controller reads the state of charge of battery modules and if state of charge is low, battery modules with smaller cells are charged first. The system is comprising of battery modules with each module holding one size cells and the package holding modules of different cell sizes. It is possible to have each module formed with different cell sizes as well. Logics in the controller memory determines the recharging sequence of the battery modules and send charging command to recharging hardware.

  • Publication number: 20230076877
Abstract: The present invention is a method and software for background image selection for an electronic device that has a background image in its display screen or for a software that has display window with a background image. The method needs an optical image to provide image of a subject. The subject could be part of surrounding or the user itself. The methos analyzes the image and determine characteristics of the subject such as its color, speed, texture, etc. that relate to look and feel of the subject. This set of characteristics are then converted to another set of desired characteristics. A background image is then chosen from a library of images, created artificially, or modified from another image so that it matches the desired characteristics.

  • Publication number: 20230074477
Abstract: The present invention is a system and method to monitor, localize, and control objects in an implicitly defined geofenced area and to determine object position and orientation (vehicle only) by capturing the object's image, 3D data, or position using camera, LiDAR, and/or RADAR sensors that are installed on structures mounted on the ground. The sensors capture image, 3D data points, and distance of the surface points that are processed to ultimately obtain 3D data of the surface points of the object. The 3D data points from different sensors are then combined or fused by a controller to obtain a single set of 3D points, called fusion data, under one coordinate system such as the GPS coordinate system. The single set of 3D points is then processed by the controller using deep neural network and/or other algorithms to obtain position and orientation of the object. Additionally, the controller or sensors can send current and desired future object positions and orientations to controllable objects.

  • Publication number: 20230072030
Abstract: A method is defined for a path to be designed from a sequence of way points called departing way point Pd, way point X1, way point X2, . . . , way point XN, and merging way point Pm, where directions of travel of a vehicle at departing and merging points are given at angles ?d and ?m or other forms of direction with respect to two given path segments, Ld and Lm, passing through the departing and merging way points successively. In order to plan a path, we pick two points, P?1 and P+1 on both sides of the point Pd located on the path segment Ld. We draw a line P?1P+1 passing through points P?1 and P+1. We pick two points, P?2 and P+2 on both sides of the point Pm located on the path segment Lm. We draw another line P?2P+2 passing through points P?2 and P+2. We draw two lines passing through Pd and Pm such that they make angles ?d and ?m with respect to the lines P?1P+1 and P?2P+2 successively. Then we pick point P1 and point P2 on these two lines.

  • Publication number: 20230073696
Abstract: The system, method, and software in the presented invention converts manually drawn 2D projection pictures into their corresponding mathematically defined 2D or 3D model. The manually drawn model is drawn in a computer with a device such as mouse. A software executed in the computer then automatically finds junction points and curves between junction points and fits smoothed and mathematically defined curves between the junction points. Alternatively, junction points and the representative polynomials of the curves are mentioned manually by users. The 2D or 3D mathematical models are then reprojected by the said software to obtain the desired, more accurate, and smooth projections. The reprojection can be done from different viewing angles if needed, which avoids the hassle of redrawing the models.

  • Publication number: 20230072741
Abstract: The invention presented utilizes laser points and/or lines and one or more rear-view optical sensors. The points and lines are projected on the front face of the trailer. The optical sensors capture images of the projected laser points and lines. A controller with memory holding logics processes them to find position and orientation of the trailer front face. The laser device projects laser points or lines on the front face of the trailer or the desired structure. The optical sensors capture images of the laser points and lines. The images are read by a controller that extracts the laser lines and points from the images, The controller then estimates the position and orientation of the trailer or the desired structure from the extracted points and lines. In addition, the system analyzes image of the front face of the trailer and determine the trailer type to determine if any adjustment to backward driving is needed or even if the hauler is compatible with trailer and capable of hitching the trailer at all.

  • Publication number: 20170057517
Abstract: An electronic control unit for adaptive cruise control of a vehicle, comprises an interface operable to receive data from a plurality of sensors and a training module operable to analyze the data and determine a first set of parameters for a first performance mode of the adaptive cruise control system. The first set of parameters is learned based upon the received data. A reading module is operable to read a recorded second set of parameters for a second performance mode, wherein the second set of parameters are read from the received data. A comparison module is operable to select one of the first performance mode and the second performance mode and a controller is operable to receive the set of parameters associated with the selected performance mode, wherein the controller determines desired vehicle actions based on the received set of parameters and send instructions to implement the desired vehicle actions.
