  • Publication number: 20100020788
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for establishing multimedia connections across the borders of packet-switching communications networks according to an Internet protocol and the ITU-Standard H.323, consisting in inserting (connect) a rearwardly pointing authorisation cycle into a standard connection set-up, thereby making it possible to overcome in a simple manner the FIREWALLS restrictions for multimedia connections, in particular voice connections, over IP.

  • Publication number: 20100011111
Abstract: A call center service is offered in a peer-to-peer network. At least one peer in the peer-to-peer network has a call center function added to it, and a check is then carried out by way of a search algorithm to determine whether a called subscriber is or is not registered in the peer-to-peer network. If the called subscriber is registered, an IP address is first of all determined for that subscriber, and a check is then carried out to determine whether the call center service has been activated for this subscriber. An incoming call is then diverted to a peer with a call center function, and is not passed on to the called subscriber until contact is made with the peer with the call center function. Otherwise, if the subscriber is not registered in the peer-to-peer network, further entries for the called subscriber are first of all checked in the peer-to-peer network.

  • Publication number: 20090276521
Abstract: The invention relates to a procedure for judicial monitoring in peer-to-peer networks, in which participants to be monitored are marked, and in which furthermore upon setting up a peer-to-peer communication with a marked participant the connection is diverted via a monitoring server and access to the communication data takes place with an appropriate monitoring server service. This realizes the requirement for judicial monitoring in a simple way.

  • Publication number: 20080192729
Abstract: In one aspect, a multimedia gateway for connecting a first computer network to a non-compatible second computer network is provided. The gateway having a first function block, a second function block and a third function block. The first function block establishes a multimedia data transmission with subscribers of the first computer network according to the specific protocols of the first network, the useful data, signaling data, and performance characteristics being buffered separately in respectively associated first signaling-specific, state-sensitive stacks. The second function block establishes a multimedia data transmission with subscribers of the second computer network according to the specific protocols of the second network, the useful data, signaling data, and performance characteristics being buffered separately in respectively associated second signaling-specific, state-sensitive stacks.

  • Publication number: 20080165782
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for data exchange between at least one calling network element and at least one network element to be called, in different first and second network areas separated by network node devices or firewalls. A network address which is locally valid only in the respective network area is generally associated with the network elements in said separated network areas or domains. Said locally valid network address is converted into message header entries, which send the network elements to network elements localised outside the network region, by the respective network node device, by means of a network address which is valid outside the respective network area, especially a globally valid network address of the network node element. According to the invention, following the emission of an invite message (e.g.

  • Publication number: 20070206755
Abstract: A method for automatically initiating a call, according to which the existing connections from a first user of a telecommunication network to other users are detected and are evaluated regarding the statistical regularities thereof while calls are initiated to the other users based on the identified statistical regularities is provided. Particularly service-based companies to inform their clients in a targeted manner is allowed.

  • Publication number: 20010014141
Abstract: In a telecommunication network having a data management system, a method for modifying the operating system of a telecommunication terminal device connected to the network. An operating system modified according to the method allows the telecommunication terminal device to check for errors in a data transmission. If an error in the data transmission is found, connection between the terminal device and the network's data management system is aborted, a new connection between the terminal device and the network's data management system is made, and the data transmission is repeated.
