  • Patent number: 8609749
Abstract: The invention provides a method for preparing a Polyurethane-Carbon Nanotube (PU-CNT) based coating composition. More specifically, the invention provides a method for preparing a PU-CNT based anti-corrosive coating composition. The method comprises preparing a dispersion comprising one or more types of Carbon Nanotubes (CNTs). The dispersion is prepared by dispersing the one or more types of CNTs in a dispersant comprising at least one polar solvent and at least one surfactant. The method further comprises mechanically mixing a hardener with the dispersion comprising the one or more types of CNTs. In addition, the method comprises mechanically mixing polyurethane with the dispersion prepared by mechanically mixing the hardener with the dispersion comprising the one or more types of CNTs.

  • Publication number: 20130211203
Abstract: A surgical retractor designed for wounds and incisions located on curved areas of the body. The clamp assembly comprising the present surgical retractor comprises multiple hinges and other types of movable joints allowing it to be adjusted to any number of positions in order to conform to various areas of the body as well as wounds or incisions of different sizes. In particular, the clamp assembly can comprise hinges located in the middle of at least two of its sides allowing it to be bent into multiple angles both above and below the flat horizontal position allowed by nearly all existing surgical retractors. Multiple retracting hook assemblies can be mounted at various positions along the sides of the clamp assembly allowing the hook comprising each to hold tissue in a variety of positions as needed.

  • Publication number: 20130170342
Abstract: Data communication systems and methods are described. In one aspect, data is communicated to a data receiver via a data communication network. An error discriminator receives a confirmation response from the data receiver indicating receipt of the data. A round-trip transmission time is determined for the data and used to predict network congestion associated with the data communication network. A data communication rate is adjusted if the predicted network congestion exceeds a threshold value.

  • Publication number: 20110220546
Abstract: A hydrocarbon feedstock is hydrocracked in a hydrocracking zone and the effluent is fractioned to recover a light fraction, a middle fraction containing aromatic compounds and a heavy fraction. The heavy fraction is recycled to the hydrocracking zone for further hydrocracking. The middle fraction is introduced to an aromatic separation zone. A product stream is recovered from the aromatic separation zone comprising a middle fraction having a reduced content of aromatic compounds as compared to the middle fraction recovered from the fractionator. Aromatics from the aromatic separation zone are recycled to the hydrocracking zone for further hydrogenation and cracking.

  • Patent number: 7904889
Abstract: Methods, systems, and computer program products for performing the method are provided. The method includes collecting specified events generated during a run-time operation of a designed computing process flow having a model that defines, at a service-oriented architecture level, which of several predefined computing services are used in the computing process flow and relationships among the predefined computing services that are used in the process flow. The method also includes generating, on a display device, a visual display that shows visual representations of all or a portion of the service-oriented architecture-level model for the computing process flow, and of the collected specified events and where, relative to the model, the collected specified events were generated.
