The received discovery burst may indicate a duplex operation mode used at the network entity for transmission of the discovery burst and a type of channel access procedure associated with a random access occasion included in the transmission duration. The UE may transmit a random access message to the network entity during the random access occasion based on a success of a channel access procedure. The channel access procedure may correspond to the indicated type of channel access procedure.

    Abstract: A system includes a casing string, a flow control apparatus, and a stinger. The flow control apparatus includes a tubular body, a float valve, and a disk. The tubular body has a conduit and a first end. The first end is connectable to the casing string. The float valve is fixed within the conduit of the tubular body and is configured to block flow in a first direction and allow flow in the second direction. The disk is fixed above the float valve and within the conduit of the tubular body. The disk is configured to prevent flow in the second direction until the disk is broken by a pre-determined force. The stinger is deployed in the casing string and applies the pre-determined force to the disk to allow a flow of the fluid, in the second direction, from the stinger to the annulus.

In one aspect, a network entity receives information indicative of a set of antenna panel configurations for a plurality of network nodes, where the set of antenna panel configurations is associated with a set of energy saving modes. The network entity transmits an indication of one or more UL-SRS transmission parameters for a UE based on the information indicative of the set of antenna panel configurations for the plurality of network nodes. In some examples, each antenna panel configuration in the set of antenna panel configurations may include a number of antennas to be used in an UL azimuth angle measurement and a number of antennas to be used in an UL elevation angle measurement under one energy saving mode.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. In some wireless communications systems, a base station may transmit a set of reference signals spanning a channel to a user equipment (UE), where each of the reference signals is associated with one of a set of transmit beams. The UE may measure a signal quality of each of the set of reference signals. In some cases, each measured signal quality may correspond to one of a set of subbands of the channel and one of the set of transmit beams. The UE may then transmit an indication of at least one signal quality associated with one of the set of subbands and one of the set of transmit beams. In some cases, the UE may indicate the at least one signal quality according to a configuration that may be indicated by the base station or selected by the UE.

    Abstract: In order to inhibit the growth of fungi, such as Madurella mycetomatis, gold nanoparticles are synthesized and capped with an extract of Reseda arabica. The gold nanoparticles capped with the extract of Reseda arabica are made by adding the extract of Reseda arabica to an aqueous sodium tetrachloroaurate (NaAuCl4) solution to reduce the sodium tetrachloroaurate and form a suspension of gold nanoparticles capped with the extract of Reseda arabica. The extract of Reseda arabica acts as a reducing and stabilizing agent while also functionalizing the surfaces of the gold nanoparticles to cap the surfaces. The suspension may be boiled, followed by removal of the gold nanoparticles capped with the extract of Reseda arabica from the suspension. To treat a Madurella mycetomatis infection, an effective dose of the gold nanoparticles capped with Reseda arabica extract may be administered to a patient in need thereof.

Aspects of the disclosure describe narrow beam-based channel access that enables a device to communicate in a shared radio frequency spectrum band without performing channel access procedures. Specifically, aspects of the disclosure describe techniques for defining one or more directional beams as a narrow beam, where the relative narrowness of the beam may be determined in the context of interference (e.g., as opposed to being defined from a geometric perspective). For example, a particular beam may be determined to be a narrow beam, and therefore associated with communications in shared radio frequency spectrum bands without channel access procedures, based on one or more metrics and a number of spatial streams associated with the beam. A device may use such narrow beams for communications without channel access procedures in shared radio frequency spectrum bands.

The shielding unit is configured to block a signal from the remote control device to reach the HVAC unit. The signal blocked by the shielding unit includes the user desired set point value. The thermostat is configured to receive the user desired set point value, adjust the user desired set point value based on measured temperature and/or humidity for the target space, and transmit the adjusted user desired set point value to the communication hub.
