  • Publication number: 20250121258
Abstract: In accordance with a first embodiment of the present invention, a sports ball is provided which exhibits a reduced need for stitching of the panels due to the use of panels having simulated seams formed by hot pressing. In accordance with another embodiment of the present invention the panels are shaped having thicker central foam areas and thinner peripheral areas, thus rendering sewing easier.

  • Patent number: 10842208
Abstract: The fourchette structure in a glove is fabricated from the finger structure resulting in a glove having fewer seams, shorter seams and is more readily manufacturable using conventional materials. The resulting glove is more comfortable and is less prone to failure along its seams.

  • Patent number: 10258095
Abstract: The fourchette structure in a glove is reduced to a minimal level resulting in a glove structure having fewer seams, shorter seams and is more readily manufacturable using conventional materials. The resulting glove is more comfortable and is less prone to failure along its seams.

  • Patent number: 10201732
Abstract: A ball for sports play such as a soccer ball comprises three layers: a standard outer cover layer and a standard inner or bladder layer along with an intermediate layer of panels. These panels have three portions: a portion and extending into recesses formed by stitching together of the outer panels; a middle portion extending on the inside over the stitching; and a third portion which is disposed between the bladder and the middle portion having a size position and extent sufficient to produce elevations in the central areas of exterior panels in the outer cover layer.
    Type: Grant

  • Patent number: 10112082
Abstract: An object, such as a soccer ball, is provided with perforated, interior panels disposed between an interior inflatable bladder and an outer covering which is stitched together from a plurality of individual panels. The stitching process produces raised portions surrounding the interior sides of the outer covering. These raised portions define recesses into which the perforated interior panels are disposed. The recess-filling panels overlie the ridges which are hard and whose hardness is counteracted by these preferably perforated panels. This provides a smooth surface against which the inflatable bladder rests. Additional flexure is also provided by perforating one or more of the layers in the outer covering.

  • Patent number: 9919189
Abstract: An object, such as a soccer ball or a handball, is provided with perforated, interior panels disposed between an interior inflatable bladder and an outer covering which is stitched together from a plurality of individual panels. With particular reference to handball manufacture the interior panels comprise two layers, the outer one of which contains recesses containing shock absorbing gel type material.
