  • Publication number: 20210293139
Abstract: Systems, processes, and computer-readable media for determining lithology porosity of a formation rock from surface drilling parameters without the use of wireline logging. Lithology porosity at different depths in existing may be determined from the wireline logs. The lithology porosity may be shaly sand, tight sand, porous gas, or porous wet. A lithology porosity machine-learning model may be trained and calibrating using the data from a structured data set having surface drilling parameters from the existing wells and lithology porosity classifications from the wells. The lithology porosity machine learning model may then be used to determine a lithology porosity classification for a new well without the use of wireline logging.

  • Publication number: 20210256519
Abstract: A computer system for single and consolidated real-time processing of event data relating to VAT tax refunds requests. The system communicates with multiple retailer systems and multiple user devices in connection with the processing of that event data in accordance with an adaptive processing rules schema. The system includes a distributed system interface that receives the event data from the plurality of distributed retailer networks in the form of event data transactions. The system is operated in accordance with a rules schema database that contains tax models applicable to various event data transactions. An event data processor receives the event data transactions and applies the tax models in the rules schema database and is then operable through a payment gateway processor to direct electronic transactions to occur in responding to the processing of the event data based at least in part on rules stored in the rules schema database in communication with the event data processor.

  • Patent number: 10774753
Abstract: Systems and methods for indirect monitoring of combustor dynamics in a gas turbine engine include collecting vibration data acquired by a vibration sensor, which is mounted proximate to an operational component positioned relative to a combustor of a gas turbine engine. The vibration data can be transformed into a frequency domain representation at periodic intervals. The relative signal strength of the vibration data can be determined over the one or more identified frequency bands. The relative signal strength can be adjusted with hysteresis at each of the one or more identified frequency bands. Occurrence of a combustor dynamics event at one or more specific resonant frequencies can be determined based at least in part on evaluation of the adjusted relative signal strength relative to one or more event detection threshold levels.

  • Patent number: 9724622
Abstract: There are only two ways to increase the amount of sample that can be purified by preparative reversed phase high performance liquid chromatography (Prep-RP-HPLC) in a single run: (1) The traditional approach is to use a bigger column (greater amount of stationary phase); and (2) Use displacement chromatography which uses the stationary phase more effectively. This invention describes a unique Prep-RP-HPLC technique that uses a C-18/C-8 derivatized silica coated with a hydrophobic quaternary ammonium salt or quaternary phosphonium salt to result in 7 to 12 fold increase in sample loading (of the crude mixture of organic compounds including synthetic crude peptides) in contrast to the conventional Prep-RP-HPLC technique. This increase in sample loading capacity and output is due to the additional surrogate stationary phase characteristic of the C-18/C8 bound quaternary salt. The quaternary surfactant is bound to the C-18/C-8 chains and silanols of the stationary phase.

  • Patent number: 9444789
Abstract: An example method includes receiving a request for a cloud capability set during an Internet Key Exchange negotiation associated with a virtual private network (VPN) tunnel between a subscriber and a cloud, wherein the cloud capability set comprises one or more cloud capabilities, mapping the request to one or more cryptographic modules that can support the cloud capability set, and offloading the VPN tunnel to the one or more cryptographic modules. The request can be an Internet Security Association and Key Management Protocol (ISAKMP) packet listing the one or more cloud capabilities in a private payload. The method may further include splitting the VPN tunnel between the cryptographic modules if no single cryptographic module can support substantially all the cloud capabilities in the cloud capability set. In some embodiments, the request is compared with a service catalog comprising authorized cloud capabilities.

  • Publication number: 20160237112
Abstract: A sample is provided that can be purified by preparative reversed phase high performance liquid chromatography (Prep-RP-HPLC) in a single run in spite of recent advances in the production of reversed phase derivatized silica stationary supports: (1) The traditional approach is to use a bigger column (greater amount of stationary phase); and (2) Use displacement chromatography which (while labor intensive to develop) uses the stationary phase more effectively. This disclosure describes a unique Prep-RP-HPLC technique that uses a C-18/C-8 derivatized silica coated with a surfactant such as Triton X-100 to result in 7 to 10 fold increase in sample loading (of the crude mixture of organic compounds including synthetic crude peptides) in contrast to the conventional Prep-RP-HPLC technique. This increase in sample loading capacity and output is due to the additional surrogate stationary phase characteristic of the C-18/C8 adsorbed (bound) surfactant.

  • Patent number: 9281951
Abstract: Systems, methods, and other embodiments associated with any-to-any multicasting in a tunnel based virtual private network (VPN) are described. One example method includes calculating a resolved address for an unknown reverse path forwarding (RPF) neighbor in an any-to-any multicasting route. The resolved address is calculated using next hop resolution protocol (NHRP) resolution. The address is to be resolved based on control plane traffic. The NHRP address resolution is not to affect unicast routing. The example method may also include establishing the any-to-any multicasting route. Since the multicasting route is any-to-any (e.g., spoke-to-spoke), the multicasting route is not required to include a hub in the logical hub-and-spoke network.
