Abstract: A system for controlling a display device, includes a display control device, an electrical switch connected to an electrical power source, and a motion sensor connected to the display control device. In a case where the motion sensor senses a motion, the motion sensor provides the sensed motion as an input to the display control device, and the display control device, in turn, controls the electrical switch and controls a supply of power to the display device. Further, the system includes a signal source, the signal source having at least an audio or video signal, and a switchbox connected to the display control device. The display control device operates the switchbox to control a transmission of at least one of the audio and video signals from the signal source received by the display device.
