  • Patent number: 10510240
Abstract: Methods and systems for evaluating compliance of communication of a dispatcher. One system includes an electronic computing device that includes an input device, a transceiver, and one or more electronic processors. The one or more electronic processors are configured to monitor communication between a dispatcher and a caller during a call and determine a type of call. The one or more electronic processors are further configured to determine a conversational procedure based on the type of call and compare a characteristic of the monitored communication to a constraint of the conversational procedure. The one or more electronic processors are further configured to determine that the characteristic of the monitored communication is outside the constraint of the conversational procedure and take an action as a function of determining that the characteristic of the monitored communication is outside the constraint of the conversational procedure.

  • Patent number: 9906066
Abstract: A method and apparatus for wirelessly charging a chargeable device, such as a smart phone, digital music player, or navigation device, using a wireless charger. The wireless charger includes a connector, a retainer, and a wireless power transmitter. The connector is configured to secure the wireless charger to a visor in a passenger compartment of a vehicle. The retainer is configured to selectively retain a chargeable device having a recipient coil. The wireless power transmitter includes a charging coil configured to carry a fluctuating electric current that generates a changing magnetic field for receipt by a recipient coil of the chargeable device. The changing magnetic field induces a fluctuating electric current in the recipient coil, which is used to charge a battery pack of the chargeable device.

  • Patent number: 7808205
Abstract: A battery charger and method for communicating battery pack charging status information of a battery pack coupled to both the battery charger and an electronic device such as a radio is presented. An authenticity battery pack identifier and battery status information provided by the battery pack to the battery charger is read. The authenticity battery pack identifier and charging status information is transmitted over a wireless link from the battery charger to the radio. The charging status information is then processed by the radio when the authenticity battery pack identifier matches a currently coupled battery pack identifier stored on the radio. The currently coupled battery pack identifier identifies the battery pack that is coupled to the radio.

Abstract: A battery charger (180) and method (400) for communicating battery pack charging status information of a battery pack (140) coupled to both the battery charger (180) and an electronic device such as a radio (110). The method (400) performs reading an authenticity battery pack identifier and battery status information provided by the battery pack (140) to the battery charger (180). Next the method (400) performs transmitting in a status message over a wireless link (199) the authenticity battery pack identifier and charging status information from the battery charger (180) to the radio (110). Processing (555) the charging status information is then performed by the radio (110). This processing (555) is performed when the authenticity battery pack identifier matches a currently coupled battery pack identifier stored on the radio (110), the currently coupled battery pack identifier identifying the battery pack (140) that is coupled to the radio (110).
