    Abstract: Disclosed herein are system, method, and computer program product embodiments for identifying and removing orphan data in a Database-as-a-Service (DBaaS) cloud computing platform. In embodiments, a workflow is executed that accesses an event service database of the platform to obtain a list of deleted customer entities, queries a control plane of the platform to obtain a list of existing DBaaS instances, determines that a particular existing DBaaS instance is associated with a particular deleted customer entity, identifies the particular existing DBaaS instance as a potential orphan DBaaS instance, validates that the particular existing DBaaS instance is an orphan DBaaS instance, and in response to validating that the particular existing DBaaS instance is an orphan DBaaS instance, performs one or more of generating an alert that identifies the particular existing DBaaS instance as an orphan DBaaS instance or removing the particular existing DBaaS instance from the DBaaS cloud computing platform.

    Abstract: The present invention relates to a method and wearable device for monitoring and analyzing user movements to predict fall risk. The method involves retrieving motion data recorded by an Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU) and a pedometer, followed by processing the data once it exceeds a predefined threshold. A first trained machine learning (ML) model predicts the fall risk based on the processed data. A confidence score is determined from the fall prediction, and a second trained ML model analyzes successive data frames to confirm the fall if the score is above a threshold. If a fall is confirmed, a distress signal is transmitted. The wearable device comprises a processor and memory that stores program instructions to perform the method, including motion data retrieval, processing, fall prediction, confidence scoring, and fall confirmation, along with distress signal transmission. This invention enables timely fall detection and emergency response, improving user safety.

By connecting outermost points on contour of the hand, a bounding region is created by the processor. Points of convexity defects are determined on the hand for identifying each finger of the hand. A second bounding box is assigned to a finger of the hand. A size of the finger of the user is estimated based on dimension of a width of the second bounding box determined from on actual dimensions of the pre-defined reference object.
