  • Patent number: 11451525
Abstract: An Internet-connected device, such as a car, refrigerator, or even a laptop can use a second device, such as a cell phone, to support cryptographic operations and communication with token service providers or other processing services requiring pre-provisioned capabilities that may include cryptographic secrets. By removing the need to store personally sensitive data in “Internet of Things” (IoT) devices, a user's personal information and other sensitive financial information may be contained to a relatively small number of devices. This may help prevent theft of goods or services by IoT devices that are not always under the close control of the user.

  • Publication number: 20220286626
Abstract: Techniques are described for controlling operation of a pixel conversion ADC in a manner that enforces strict timing and synchronization of ramp and clock signaling. Synchronizing techniques can be applied to generate a corrected ramp start signal based on synchronizing a received ramp start signal to an input clocking signal, and to generate a controller clock signal based on synchronizing an input clocking signal to the corrected ramp start signal. The corrected ramp start signal and the controller clock signal can be used to control generation of a ramp enable signal for controlling timing of pixel ramp voltage generation digital pixel conversion counting, and to control generation of an output clocking signal used by the digital pixel conversion counting.

  • Publication number: 20220276871
Abstract: Methods, systems, apparatuses, and computer program products are described herein that enable execution of a large AI model on a memory-constrained target device that is communicatively connected to a parameter server, which stores a master copy of the AI model. The AI model may be dissected into smaller portions (e.g., layers or sub-layers), and each portion may be executed as efficiently as possible on the target device. After execution of one portion of the AI model is finished, another portion of the AI model may be downloaded and executed at the target device. To improve efficiency, the input samples may be divided into microbatches, and a plurality of microbatches executing in sequential order may form a minibatch. The size of the group of microbatches or minibatch can be manually or automatically adjusted to reduce the communication overhead.

Abstract: A radar system and a method for detecting a target using the radar system. The radar system includes a waveform generator, a plurality of phase shifters, at least one mixer, an analog-to-digital converter, a fast Fourier transform (FFT) processor, and a processor. The waveform generator generates a frequency-modulated continuous wave (FMCW) signal including a set of chirps repeated for a predetermined number of times. The phase shifters shift a phase of each chirp on a transmit branch. The phases transmitted via first and second transmit branches are shifted in accordance with first and second sets of regularly spaced phases, respectively. The first and second sets of regularly spaced phases have first and second phase differences, respectively, that are different from each other. The FFT processor performs FFT processing and the processor determines an angle of direction of the target based on range Doppler map bins.

  • Publication number: 20220261387
Abstract: Techniques are disclosed for managing a high performance, fault-tolerant, strongly consistent, distributed key-value store system. The key-value store may store information, such as metadata for a distributed file system. Fault-tolerance means that the distributed key-value store continues to provide access to values in the key-value store in spite of a certain number of node failures. To provide this capability, the key-value store may store copies of (key, value) pair on N+1 nodes in order to provide fault tolerance for the failure of up to N nodes. In addition, metadata describing which nodes store a given value is stored on 2N+1 nodes and the distributed key-value store is sized such that there are 3N+1 nodes in a cluster. Doing so allows the key, value store to tolerate a failure of N nodes, while still maintaining a consistent and available key-value store.
