Abstract: A heat pump dryer includes a cabinet, a drum rotatably supported within the cabinet, a heat pump including a condenser and an evaporator that are arranged in fluid communication with each other and a floating base plate that is dynamically supported within the cabinet such that the floating base plate is permitted to oscillate relative to the cabinet. The vibration source and at least one of the evaporator and the condenser are mounted on the floating base plate such that operation of the vibration source causes the at least one of the evaporator and the condenser to vibrate and shake water condensate and debris from the at least one of the evaporator and the condenser for improved heat pump circuit efficiency.

A laundry compartment is provided inside the drum and the drum is rotatable about a drum axis. The wash water dispenser assembly includes a dispenser hose and a mating interface assembly. The dispenser hose includes a dispenser hose inlet and a dispenser hose outlet. The mating interface assembly connects the dispenser hose outlet to the wash unit tub. The mating interface assembly includes a tub port adapter on the tub sidewall that extends outwardly away from the drum axis to provide a mechanical connection with the dispenser hose outlet.

The drum defines a laundry compartment therein and includes a front drum opening that provides access to the laundry compartment. A front facia is mounted to the front tub wall of the wash unit tub. A recirculation hose extends between a pump that is positioned inside the cabinet at a location below the wash unit tub and a recirculation nozzle that is mounted to the wash unit tub at a position near the top of the front tub opening. The recirculation hose passes through a window in the front facia and is routed through a gap that is disposed between the front tub wall and the front facia to the recirculation nozzle.
