    Abstract: A system includes a verification engine communicatively coupled to a sensing device and a database, the verification engine receives first authentication data, retrieves, from the database, second authentication data associated with a stored vehicle identifier to compare the vehicle identifier to the stored vehicle identifier to determine whether the vehicle identifier matches the stored vehicle identifier. In a case the vehicle identifier matches the stored vehicle identifier the user device is authenticated and access to the vehicle is provided.
