Abstract: A bar lock is described. The bar lock includes a bar. An upper strap is engaged to the bar. The upper strap is configured to engage to an upper hinge butt. A first is roller rotatably engaged to the bar. A lower strap is engaged to the bar. The lower strap is configured to engage to a lower hinge butt. A second roller is rotatably engaged to the bar. A handle bracket is affixed to the bar. A handle is pivotally engaged to the handle bracket. The first and second rollers are configured to prevent or reduce marring or rubbing damage to a door of a cargo area of a truck caused by a racking movement of sides of the truck.
