The cartridge includes a proximal-end feature to facilitate folding of the leading haptic radially inward relative to the optic as the IOL moves into the lumen.

    Abstract: A device for dispensing fluid to a patient enabling either or both of a continuous flow, as well as successive, large-volume boluses. A first reservoir provides a source of fluid under pressure. A bolus flow path provides for the delivery of a bolus dose of fluid and an optional continuous flow path provides a continuous flow rate of fluid. Both flow paths are in fluid communication with the source of fluid. A bolus delivery system in fluid communication with the bolus flow path receives fluid from the first reservoir, expands to pressurize fluid, stores the pressurized fluid, and dispenses the pressurized fluid while avoiding bolus refill until enabled to expand in a subsequent delivery cycle. An actuator releases fluid from the bolus delivery system such that when actuated by the patient, fluid is permitted to flow out of the bolus reservoir to the patient without further action by the patient.

    Abstract: An apparatus that is used to perform a medical procedure on a cornea. The apparatus may include a ring that can be placed on a cornea and a probe that can deliver energy to denature corneal tissue. The probe can be moved about the ring and cornea by a first actuator. A second actuator may move the probe into contact with the cornea to deliver energy and denature tissue. The process of moving the probe and delivering energy can be repeated to create a circular pattern of denatured areas. The circular pattern of denatured areas may correct for hyperopia. The actuators may be controlled by a controller that operates in accordance with a program to move the probe and create the circular pattern of denatured areas in an automated process.

    Abstract: An apparatus and method for treating superficial skin conditions with radio frequency energy. The apparatus includes a probe that is coupled to a radio frequency console. The probe has at least one tip that can be inserted into skin tissue. Radio frequency energy can be delivered to the skin tissue through the tip. The radio frequency energy denatures tissue to cause tissue shrinkage. The tissue shrinkage can reduce or remove wrinkles, or reduce or eliminate the visual appearance of blood carrying tissue such as facial spider veins.
