Abstract: A multiple media module receives data indicating a status of a tab of a graphical user interface (GUI) presented on a user device. The multiple media module determines, based on the data indicating the status of the tab, whether the tab is active, the tab comprising a streaming media player. If the tab of the web browser is not active, the multiple media module mutes an audio component of a streaming media file playing in the streaming media player.

Abstract: An example method includes receiving, by a first computing device using a text messaging service that allows an exchange of textual messages, a first textual communication sent from a second computing device, where the first computing device has a first unique identifier and the second computing device has a second unique identifier different from the first unique identifier. The method further includes sending, by the first computing device and to the second computing device, a second textual communication using the text messaging service, and combining, by the first computing device, the first textual communication and the second textual communication to form a text message thread. The method further includes sending, by the first computing device, the text message thread to a third computing device, where the third computing device has a third unique identifier that is different from both the first unique identifier and the second unique identifier.

Abstract: Apparatus and method for selecting at least one content item based on data analysis. In accordance with some embodiments, a plurality of linked web pages of a website are defined by a publisher. Each web page has a respective layout which includes associated content and at least one slot adapted to receive a content item. A total number of web pages visited by each device of the website during an associated device session in which the device requests display of one or more of the web pages on a network accessible device is accumulated. At least one content item is transferred for display on the device during each said device session. A revenue amount is identified to the publisher from said displayed content items for each different total number of web pages visited during said device sessions.

Abstract: A system and associated methods for providing electronically noted items are disclosed. The noting application includes a communication module, a determination module, a ranking module and a presentation module. The communication module receives a request for electronically noted items from a first user and user identification data identifying the first user. The determination module determines one or more second users related to the first user based at least in part on the user identification data. The determination module retrieves a first set of two or more electronically noted items marked by the one or more second users. The ranking module ranks the first set of two or more electronically noted items to generate a second set of two or more electronically noted items. The presentation module provides for display the second set of two or more electronically noted items to the first user.
