The method may include processing a payment for a pending financial obligation, receiving an indication that a payment source is unavailable, selecting an alternate payment source, and initiating a funds transfer from the alternate payment source to satisfy the pending financial obligation. The method may additionally include receiving a future financial obligation and determining if a first payment source is available to satisfy the future obligation, selecting an alternate payment source if the first payment source is unavailable and configuring a future electronic funds transfer.
