    Abstract: Compositions and methods for cleaning a surface are generally provided. In some embodiments, a fluid comprising a solvent and a second component is provided. In some cases, the solvent is a terpene. The fluid generally has a flash point of at least about 140 ° F. In some cases, second component comprises an unsaturated alkyl ester at least 10 carbons in length. In certain embodiments, the method comprises contacting a surface with the fluid to remove heavy oil and/or asphaltenes from the surface.
