Abstract: A system for delivering multimedia content over a network to a client browser is disclosed. The system includes a first hypertext transfer protocol server, a database server in which the multimedia content is stored in a structured arrangement, and an application server that is in communication with the hypertext transfer protocol server and the database server. A remote application that includes a controller module, a persistence module, and a browser interface module is executable on the application server. The multimedia content corresponding to selection input from the browser is retrievable with a query from the controller module to the persistence module. A multimedia playback interface generated by the browser interface module replays the multimedia content. The interface is embedded within a document generated by the second hypertext transfer protocol server.
