Abstract: A method for producing a hair-fixing product in the form of a foil is described whereby first a viscous, rollable composition is prepared by dissolving or dispersing a polymer in a liquid carrier medium and then the composition is shaped into a foil by rolling it with the aid of a rolling device and the liquid carrier medium is evaporated. Also described are hair-styling foils that contain at least one hair-fixing polymer and advantageously additional surfactants or polyols and that preferably are treated with an adhering, powdered, hydrophobic release agent.

Abstract: Hair styling products are described that comprise a foamable or sprayable, gel-type emulsion, along with a device for spraying or foaming the emulsion. The emulsion contains esters of polyalkoxylated polydimethylsiloxanes, in particular esters of polyethoxylated polydimethylsiloxanes and fatty acids that have at least 8 C-atoms; a gelling agent or thickener, preferably carrageenan; emulsifiers, preferably alkoxylated silicone surfactants and water. Preferred embodiments are aerosol foams and pump sprays. The products can be used for conditioning and for styling of human hair.

The products can be made by first dissolving a gas in said fluid hair conditioning composition at high pressure, then expanding the liquid/gas solution, wherein said solid carrier is added either before, or during or shortly after said expansion. The products can be used in a method of conditioning human hair.

Abstract: The present invention relates to non-fluid hair treatment products comprising a fluid composition which is absorbed on a waxy carrier, wherein the fluid composition contains at least one hair fixing agent, e.g. a hair fixing polymer. The products can be made by pulverizing a fluid hair styling composition on a non-fluid, waxy carrier, especially by first dissolving a gas in a fluid hair styling composition at high pressure, then expanding the liquid/gas solution, wherein a solid, waxy carrier is added in solid form before, during or shortly after the expansion. The product can be in the form of snow-like flakes which are easily melting in the hand and can be easily distributed on human hair.
