    Abstract: A crop loss inhibiting device directs air flow upwardly into cut plants to prevent crops from falling to the ground prior to being collected by a combine. The device includes a combine having a head including a skid plate and a plurality of spaced cutting projections extending forwardly from the skid plate. The combine has a collector positioned rearwardly from the spaced cutting projections wherein the collector receives and collects plants cut by the spaced cutting projections. Each of a pair of manifold tubes is coupled to the combine rearwardly of the spaced cutting projections. Each of the manifold tubes has a plurality of holes facing upwardly away from the spaced cutting projections. A blower is coupled to the manifold tubes creating air flow out through the holes such that the air flow inhibits crops from falling to the ground prior to being collected by the collector.

    Abstract: A shell corn loss inhibiting device includes a corn head of a combine including a pair of spaced dividers, a gap therebetween, and a collection auger. Each of a pair of nozzles is coupled to an associated one of the spaced dividers and angled inwardly towards the gap, downwardly through the gap, and rearwardly towards the collection auger. A blower is coupled to the combine urging a flow of air out through each of the nozzles to urge the shell corn towards the collection auger before the shell corn can pass downwardly through the gap.

Each of a pair of elongated lateral arms is pivotally coupled to an associated one of the walls of the dumping bed. A scraper is coupled to and extends between the lateral arms. The scraper abuts the bottom surface of the dumping bed as the lateral arms are pivoted for scraping debris from the bottom surface of the dumping bed. A motor is coupled to the lateral arms to pivot the lateral arms whereby the scraper is moved on the bottom surface of the dumping bed.
