  • Patent number: 10548304
Abstract: A solid structure, multi-stratum, hoof shaped structure to cover substantially the entire underside of a hoof. The shoe has a convex bottom to allow center loading of the hoof during a broader range of movement than with typical equine shoes. Various configurations provide filler material between the shoe and the hoof, which may be applied before the shoe is attached, or the shoe may have at least one relatively small port to allow insertion of filler material after the shoe is attached.

  • Patent number: 10485215
Abstract: Shock-absorbing bumpers that are adapted and configured to be attached to an interior wall of an animal hauling slant load trailer and positioned to contact the shoulder of an equine when the equine is driven forward by a deceleration or braking of the trailer. The bumper(s) are positioned to contact and restrain the equine shoulder allowing it to lean into it, thereby preventing the unnecessary extension of and stress on the animal's right front leg and hoof.

  • Patent number: 10375946
Abstract: An improved shock absorbing, light-weight, thermally insulative orthotic pad designed for use in a “pad and boot” assembly for hoofed livestock. The pad is comprised of a mixture of small particles incorporated and encased in elastomeric materials. The particles have a lower density than the elastomeric materials and possess better thermally insulative properties. The pad is preferably elliptically shaped when viewed from the top or bottom, may be wedge-shaped when viewed from the side, and may include a triangular projection designed to contact a horse's frog and/or a front projection designed to cushion an animal's toe. The pad may also have side clips and toe bumper.

  • Patent number: 10292872
Abstract: A device or structure for fitting on the bottom of an equine leg cast to protect the cast from abrasion and wear, to aid in keeping the cast clean and, in one aspect, to provide a shaped molded rocker bottom that allows the leg cast hoof to rock forward or back, allowing the equine to find a naturally comfortable position. A method of applying the device to an equine leg cast. The device or structure consist, in general, of a solid member having a top face and a bottom face and having malleable straps attached to the solid member and extending from at least two sides of the solid member, which straps are made of material and sized to be capable of being bent or folded upward in a plane perpendicular to the top face of the solid member to attach to an equine leg cast.
