  • Publication number: 20070131845
Abstract: A welding light detection and anti-glare eye protection apparatus, which shields welding light generated in welding or cutting environments to safely protect eyes of a worker from the welding light, and a method for controlling the same are provided. When the apparatus is powered on, it is determined, based on a reference value, whether or not a specific time has passed without detecting welding light. If the specific time has passed without detecting welding light, a power saving mode is performed. If welding light is detected while the power saving mode is performed, normal power is supplied and light transmittance is controlled. When the power saving mode is performed, the reference value is reset so that photosensitivity is reduced below a specific value. This method saves energy while preventing the apparatus from operating abnormally. Thus, it is possible to drive the anti-glare eye protection plate most efficiently according to ambient environments.

  • Publication number: 20070080621
Abstract: A connecting structure of an LCD shielding screen for a welding mask, in which the LCD shielding screen for protecting user's eyes from harmful rays generated during a welding operation is connected to a welding plane having a transparent window formed through the front surface thereof for covering a user's whole face, includes hook protrusions extended outwardly from both symmetric terminals of the LCD shielding screen; and rotary connecting pieces axially installed at both sides of the transparent window of the welding plane so that the rotary connecting pieces are connected to the corresponding hook protrusions of the LCD shielding screen. Thereby, the LCD shielding screen is simply attached to and detached from the welding plane of the welding mask, and is safely connected to the welding plane of the welding mask.

  • Publication number: 20070079417
Abstract: A front surface opened welding mask, in which an LCD shielding screen is simply attached to and detached from a welding plane and the LCD shielding screen is safely connected to the welding plane. The front surface opened welding mask includes a connection opening formed through the front surface of the welding plane, a front cover having a transparent window formed through the central portion thereof and attached to and detached from the connection opening, and buttons for connecting the front cover to the connection opening. The front cover having the transparent window is easily attached to and detached from the connection opening of the welding plane so that the LCD shielding screen is simply attached to and detached from the welding plane and a receiving portion fixes the LCD shielding screen without movement so that the LCD shielding screen is safely connected to the welding plane.

  • Publication number: 20050138719
Abstract: Disclosed herein is a cushion pad structure, which is coupled to a headband as an integral component of safety hats, protective masks, and the like, so as to maintain the uniform balance of the headband, thereby securing stable wearing of the above protective equipment on a wearer's head, and preventing biasing thereof. The cushion pad structure comprises a cushion pad which has a plurality of slip-prevention pieces formed at an inner peripheral surface thereof, and a groove defined at an outer peripheral surface thereof, and a fixing clip which is configured to be engaged in the groove of the cushion pad, and has upper and lower U-shaped fastening pieces formed at both lateral ends thereof. The fixing clip is formed, using an injection molding process, such that it is integral with the cushion pad.
