  • Patent number: 11323212
Abstract: A method and apparatus for providing for full-duplex (FD) operation in time division duplex (TDD) communications are disclosed herein. A wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) may receive an indication of a first, UL heavy, TDD uplink (UL)/downlink (DL) configuration and an indication of a second, DL heavy, TDD UL/DL configuration. • Patent number: 11316649
Abstract: A wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) may receive a PDCCH transmission comprising a CCE that is mapped to one or more REGs based on a CCE-to-REG mapping. The WTRU may receive the CCE-to-REG mapping that indicates a REG bundle corresponding to the CCE and use the CCE-to-REG mapping to identify the REGs for the SWTRU. Depending on whether the CCE-to-REG mapping is interleaving or noninterleaving, the CCE-to-REG mapping may be based on different parameters. If the CCE-to-REG mapping is interleaving, the CCE-to-REG mapping may be based on an index associated with the CCE and a number of REGs in the REG bundle. If the CCE-to-REG mapping is noninterleaving, the CCE-to-REG mapping may be based on the index of the CCE.

  • Patent number: 11303493
Abstract: Methods and apparatuses are described herein for transmit diversity in an uplink control channel. A wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) may perform a Discrete Fourier Transform (DFT) precoding operation on a data symbol sequence segment to generate a DFT precoded segment. The WTRU may then perform a Space Frequency Block Coding (SFBC) operation on the DFT precoded segment to generate a SFBC processed segment. The data symbols of the DFT precoded segment may be reordered in the SFBC processed segment. The WTRU may map the DFT precoded segment to a first set of contiguous subcarriers and the SFBC processed segment to a second set of contiguous subcarriers. The WTRU may then transmit a first DFT spread Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (DFT-s-OFDM) signal on the first set of contiguous subcarriers via a first antenna port and a second DFT-s-OFDM signal on the second set of contiguous subcarriers via a second antenna port.

  • Patent number: 11290998
Abstract: A wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) may receive, from a base station, information concerning an association between synchronization signal/physical broadcast channel (SS/PBCH) block transmissions and physical random access channel (PRACH) resources. In an example, each SS/PBCH block transmission may be associated with a transmission beam of the base station. The WTRU may receive the SS/PBCH block transmissions and select one of the transmissions. Further, the WTRU may compare a reference signal received power (RSRP) associated with the selected transmission to a threshold. The WTRU may then determine between performing a random access procedure of a first type and a second type based on the comparison. Also, the WTRU may select a PRACH resource based on the selected transmission and the information concerning the association between the transmissions and the PRACH resources. Moreover, the WTRU may transmit a PRACH preamble, for the determined random access procedure, using the selected PRACH resource.

  • Patent number: 11265824
Abstract: Systems, methods, and instrumentalities are disclosed for non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA), frequency hopping, and power control. NOMA may be applied to asynchronous and/or grant-free transmissions. Transmissions from multiple WTRUs may be performed using the same resources, and may comprise information for correctly identifying and decoding the transmissions. The transmissions may comprise a built-in deterministic sequence to support timing acquisition at a receiver. The transmissions may be distinguished based on respective transmit power used for the transmissions. Such transmit power may be dynamically controlled by applying a randomly selected power offset. The power control may be performed autonomously by a WTRU.
