Abstract: The present invention relates to an ice-making device for a refrigerator and a refrigerator having the same. The ice-making device of the present invention comprises a water tank detachably mounted to a rear surface of a refrigerator door; an ice-making housing detachably mounted to the rear surface of the door below the water tank and provided with a predetermined installation space therein; an ice tray mounted into the installation space and formed with a plurality of ice-making grooves in which water supplied from the water tank is frozen into ice; a valve assembly operating to selectively supply water stored in the water tank to the ice tray when the water tank is installed or withdrawn; and an ice bank for storing ice made in the ice tray, wherein the ice bank is installed in the installation space to be received in or withdrawn out of the installation space.

Abstract: A method of controlling a computer system having a computer to generate and to transmit a video signal, a display to display the video signal transmitted from the computer, and an interface through which the computer communicates with the display, the method including transmitting a control command to check a blank edge line from the computer to the display; receiving the control command and determining whether an edge line of an image display area of the display is blank according to the control command; transmitting blank checking data from the display to the computer; and adjusting resolution of the image signal and transmitting the image signal from the computer to the display based on the transmitted blank checking data.

Abstract: A homogeneous polyolefinic blend and a preparation process thereof, are provided wherein the blend comprises polyolefin and a polymer which has a barrier property to organic liquid and vapor permeability. The barrier property is improved through the inclusion of mixed compatibilizing substances comprising an alkylcarboxyl-substituted polymer and reactive low molecular weight compounds. The compatibilizing substances are included by the means of ordinary processing equipment. The polymer with the barrier property having low organic liquid and vapor permeability is distributed as a multitude of thin, wide, disc-like layers in a polyolefin phase. The compatibilizing substances minimize the interfacial energy between the two polymers to adhere them together.
