  • Patent number: 7584906
Abstract: An assembly for converting a fluid flow includes a housing having an inlet end for receiving the fluid flow and an outlet end for issuing a converted and output fluid flow. One or more rotatable components are supported within the housing, in a path contacting the inlet fluid flow. A selected component exhibits a plurality of arcuate and flow conducting surfaces, such as which are arranged about a circumference of the rotating component. A fluid dampening element is operatively connected to the rotating component and restricts a rotational speed associated with the rotatable component, in response to rotational forces imparted by the inlet fluid flow, and in order to modify at least one of a flow and pulse rate of the fluid.

  • Publication number: 20090173549
Abstract: A scale for measuring weight has a weight measurement device to be supported by an underlying surface. A generally planar platform cooperates with the weight measurement device so a load on the platform is measured by the weight measurement device. The scale has a display for displaying a measured weight. The scale may have a battery powering the display and a removable battery powering an ancillary feature. The scale display may have three columns so a measured weight appears to scroll. The scale may have a processor outputting an audio signal when the measured weight is displayed and a speaker conveying a sound effect. The scale display may be on a majority of the surface indicating the measured weight for a time after load removal. The scale display may display a temperature when not displaying the measured weight and the scale may have an external temperature sensor and a receiver.

  • Patent number: 7380294
Abstract: The present invention provides a bath apparatus for bathing a body part. The bath apparatus includes a chamber for containing fluid, and a lid mounted to the bath chamber. A showerhead is mounted to an underside of the lid and is oriented towards the bath chamber. A fluid pump draws fluid from the bath chamber and pumps the fluid through the showerhead for providing a pressurized fluid massage effect upon the body part. The showerhead may be viewable from atop the lid for visual identification of a product feature and for a visual fluid flow effect in operation.

  • Publication number: 20070158460
Abstract: A shower handle water supply diverter system includes a water supply in fluid communication with a hose. A handle sprayer is in fluid communication with and extends from the hose. A water diverter is provided within the handle sprayer and is in fluid communication with the showerhead. The water diverter can be operated in three modes: handle sprayer only water expulsion, shower head only water expulsion, and simultaneous handle sprayer and shower head water expulsion. By placement of the first hose and second hose in proximity to provide thermal contact therebetween, stagnant water in one hose at ambient temperature exchanges heat with water flow at a particular temperature in a second hose to change stagnant water temperature towards the temperature of the water flow.

  • Patent number: 7128722
Abstract: A percussive massager is provided having a housing supporting a motor having an output shaft rotatably driven thereby. At least one positioning member is movably connected to a percussion arm which is attached to the housing and operably connected to the motor output shaft. At least two massage nodes are operably connected to the percussion arm, one of which being attached to the positioning member, to form a massage surface and move toward and away from the housing to provide a percussive massage effect. A rotary mechanism is rotatable with respect to the percussion arm and drives the positioning member toward and away from a central region of the housing. An ancillary transmission has an output and an input for operably imparting rotation to the rotary mechanism such that the spacing of the massage nodes progressively increases and decreases.
