  • Publication number: 20240080533
Abstract: Techniques for measuring cloud-based input latency are described herein. In accordance with various embodiments, a server including one or more processors and a non-transitory memory receives from a client an input event corresponding to a request for a TV user interface (UI). The server adds a tag to each of a set of screens corresponding to the TV UI and records event data corresponding to the input event prior to rendering the set of screens into a set of rendered frames. The server additionally decodes the tag in the set of rendered frames to generate metadata that associate the event data with the set of rendered frames prior to encoding the set of rendered frames into a set of encoded frames. The server also transmits to the client the set of encoded frames and the metadata.

  • Patent number: 4958988
Abstract: A motor driven pump for pumping a viscous solution of a solute in a solvent comprises an impeller for pumping the solution into an outlet chamber. A shaft is rigidly connected to the impeller and is rotatably mounted in hydrodynamic slide bearings for driving the impeller. A rotor is rigidly mounted on the shaft for rotation therewith in response to actuation of a stator that is operatively associated with the rotor for causing rotation of the shaft. A lubrication system is provided for delivering pressurized solvent to the bearings such that solvent leaking from the bearings flows into the outlet chamber.

  • Patent number: 4672950
Abstract: A halocline in a salt-water solar pond is protected against the effect of wind by dividing the upper portion of the pond into essentially separate cells or units that are segregated, but without hydraulically altering the operation of the pond. Specifically, a floating grid of expandable partitions is placed in the pond, so that an upper surface of each partition protrudes from the water, and the lower surface of each partition extends into the halocline, the liquid in the upper portion of each cell formed by the grid being essentially segregated. Provision is made for periodically expanding the partitions in order to flake off salt that precipitates on the partitions.
