  • Publication number: 20220242033
Abstract: Apparatus for forming hollow containers (110), suitable to contain in particular one or more liquid or semi-liquid food products, starting from parisons (F) made of thermoplastic material. The apparatus comprises a matrix (11) defined by a pair of molds (12) cooperating with each other to define a cavity (13) shaped like the container (110) to be formed, and to define a support channel (14), configured to define an additional portion (112) of said container (110). The apparatus also comprises a forming punch (17), operatively mobile through said support channel (14) to enter into/exit from said cavity (13) so as to thrust and blow one of said parisons (F) against the walls of said cavity (13) to form at least said container (110).

  • Patent number: 10442129
Abstract: An extrusion blow mold machine forming hollow containers. The machine has at least one pair of opposing half molds that combine to form a mold and define a mold cavity. Each of the half molds is positioned on a carrier plate and includes first, second, and third mold segments. The first and third mold segments can move with respect to each other and with respect to the second, fixed mold segment. A mechanical structure creates vertical movement of the first and third mold segments relative to the second mold segment as the mold opens horizontally, without the aid of any electrical, hydraulic, or pneumatic device. A closing unit engages the carrier plate to move the carrier plate and its respective half mold toward and away from the opposing half mold and its respective carrier plate, thereby closing and opening the mold.

  • Publication number: 20090302510
Abstract: The method comprises the following sequence of stages of operation: feeding the blowing air into the parison enclosed in the mould (1), with the maximum pressure characteristics required for the blow moulding thermoforming cycle, and maintaining this blowing condition for a minimum period depending on the characteristics of the container to be produced; reducing the blowing air pressure to a specified minimum level sufficient to keep the blown container adhering to the inner walls of the mould (1) which contains and shapes it; discharging the blowing air at low pressure from the inside of the blown container, in such a way that the inner surface of the container is bathed by a flow of air which is constantly renewed at the appropriate flow rate, which rapidly reduces the internal temperature of the container, while the external temperature of the container is reduced by contact with the walls of the mould (1) which are cooled by the forced circulation of a cooling fluid; interrupting the blowing cycle and the

  • Patent number: 5458479
Abstract: There are mounted on the carriage (2) which moves alternately between station (4) where the parisons (T) of thermoplastic material and the blowing station (5), two adjacent pairs of moulds (S) with their corresponding means of self-centering opening and closing. The containers (Z) coming from the two scrap-removal stations are taken by a single transverse discharging conveyor (34). The magazines that feed the labels to each pair of moulds are all positioned on the external near side of the machine, where the magazines are aligned in two parallel rows (35-135) and positioned at different levels so that they can easily be inspected and refilled with labels.
