  • Publication number: 20240370872
Abstract: The technology is generally directed to providing an indication signifying whether a merchant associated with a digital component has been verified. The digital component may be, for example, an advertisement for the sale of a virtual good, such as a non-fungible token (“NFT”) or other digital asset. The indication may be an indicator, such as an icon, conspicuously positioned on a portion of the digital component to alert users that the merchant associated with the digital component has been verified and/or the virtual good within the digital component has been verified. In some examples, the indication may alert users that the merchant associated with the digital component is the owner of the virtual good. The indication may be displayed if a threshold number of criteria are met, including whether the merchant has transacted with decoys, whether the transactions of the merchant utilized deceitful contracts.
