Patent number: 11838067Abstract: Systems, devices and processes are described herein to improve the reliable delivery of content in a satellite system by facilitating the prediction of likely future signal interference. Specifically, the various embodiments provide a technique whereby a likelihood of future plant growth interfering with received signal strength at a satellite dish is determined. In one embodiment, the technique analyses one or more images of a plant in the vicinity of the satellite dish and from that image generates prediction of future growth of the plant over a future time period. From this prediction of future plant growth, a likelihood of future signal interference being caused by the plant can be determined.Type: GrantFiled: December 23, 2021Date of Patent: December 5, 2023Assignee: DISH Network L.L.C.Inventors: Caroline Condon, Micah Moore, Jeffrey Mailloux, James Brunner, Morgan Kirby

Patent number: 10681844Abstract: Systems, electronic devices, and methods are directed to a self-adjustable heat spreader. A spring system may include one or more spring members and a contact surface adapted to contact a circuit board component. Each spring member may include a thermally conductive material. A thermal spreader plate may be coupled to the one or more spring members. The spring system and the thermal spreader plate may be configured to allow movement, with respect to the thermal spreader plate along multiple axes, of one or more portions of the one or more spring members proximate to the thermal spreader plate when the contact surface is pressed against the circuit board component and the spring system transitions from a first state to a compressed state. The contact surface and the spring system may be configured to transfer heat between the circuit board component and the thermal spreader plate.Type: GrantFiled: April 16, 2019Date of Patent: June 9, 2020Assignee: DISH Technologies L.L.C.Inventors: Svitlana Trygubova, Morgan Kirby
