Patent number: 11412780Abstract: A holder for a tobacco container is provided. The device includes a body having a base, a sidewall extending upwardly therefrom, and a top side defining an interior volume. The base includes a recession that frictionally secures a container of chewing tobacco therein. In one embodiment, the sidewall diameter tapers inwardly from an upper end to a lower end thereof, such that a funnel is formed. A clip is attached to the holder that can secure the holder to a keychain or other similar object. An opening tool will be embedded in the top side of the tobacco container holder's body. In one embodiment of the tobacco container holder, the opening tool will further comprise a sharpened edge that can puncture the wrapper on a tobacco container. The sidewall catches chewing tobacco that may be accidentally dropped when retrieving chewing tobacco from its container, thereby reducing waste.Type: GrantFiled: February 12, 2021Date of Patent: August 16, 2022Inventor: Morgan Russell

Patent number: 10793454Abstract: A reactor system for treating contaminated water is disclosed. The reactor system includes a reactor vessel having first and second end portions and an internal reactor volume defined by interior surfaces of the reactor vessel. A fluoropolymer coating is applied over at least a portion of the interior surfaces of the reactor vessel. The reactor system also includes a water inlet disposed in the first end portion and a water outlet disposed in the second end portion. At least one ultraviolet light-emitting diode (LED) is included and disposed so as to project ultraviolet light into the reactor vessel. A plurality of photo-catalyst substrates are also disposed within the internal reactor volume of the reactor vessel. Each of these substrates includes a coating of titanium dioxide applied to an outer surface of a substrate. A method for remediating contaminated water is also disclosed.Type: GrantFiled: February 22, 2018Date of Patent: October 6, 2020Assignee: United States of America as represented by the Secretary of the Air ForceInventors: Morgan Russell, John Stubbs, David Kempisty
