  • Publication number: 20240132416
Abstract: A system for nutrient remediation in a water environment using biologically active bioremediation units (BABUs), comprising a biologically active first compound of sodium alginate with chitosan, mixing a quantity of glomalin and lignin with Chlorella vulgaris to form a second mixture, mixing the first mixture with the second mixture, and spherifying the third mixture by dropping the third mixture into calcium chloride, creating a physical medium to contain the viable culture of the remediating organism called BABUs, and where the BABUs are used for nutrient remediation in a surface water environment where the surface water environment contains an excess of nutrients, waiting for nutrient capture by the BABUs, removing the nutrient rich BABUs from the water, and placing the BABUs in soil, wherein the BABUs release the nutrients to the soil.

  • Publication number: 20230170075
Abstract: Systems and methods for implementing an exposure progression that improves an ability of a subject to manage a psychiatric or mental condition of the subject are provided. An exposure progression includes a plurality of categories in a hierarchical order. Each category is associated with one or more experiences, and each experience is associated with a digital reality scene that manifests a challenge. In some embodiments, the hierarchical order is generated or modified dynamically based at least in part on the level of success that a subject has had in one or more challenges, producing an exposure progression that it not only tailored to each subject but also with personalized timing and/or nature of the exposure practice.

  • Publication number: 20230056779
Abstract: Systems and methods for preparing a regimen for improving an ability of a subject to manage a psychiatric or mental condition are provided. A method includes presenting a first digital reality scene with interactive digital chart and bin. The bin includes a plurality of nodes. Each node corresponds to a respective category in a plurality of categories and a plurality of proposed experiences associated with the respective category. Each proposed experience is associated with a unique digital reality scene, different than the first digital reality scene, that manifests a challenge represented by the respective category and/or the respective proposed experience. Each node is also associated with at least one respective gate criterion. A method also includes detecting a selection of a node and placing the node on the chart, thus providing access to the corresponding plurality of proposed experiences associated with the respective category.

  • Patent number: 8418924
Abstract: The present invention provides a novel optical reader device and method for calibrating the device. The device executes a calibration module that locates the actual coordinates for a targeting symbol in a captured image. The coordinates are stored as calibration coordinates in the memory. During normal operation of the reader device, the stored calibration coordinates are used to locate a target, such as a bar code. In order to locate the targeting symbol, the calibration module may overlay a template on clusters that may be the targeting symbol. A reasonable accurate comparison identifies the cluster as the targeting symbol. Alternatively, the calibration module may approach a cluster from four frames of the image and identify the cluster's tangents and perimeter. Geometrical calculations are used to identify the center of an identified targeting symbol.
