  • Publication number: 20240147926
Abstract: The present inventions relate to a breeding system for the production of polyploid potato seeds, plants, or plant parts where cycles of meiosis, syngamy, and selection are used for interpopulation improvement of progenitor lines, and sexual polyploidization occurs during hybrid production by inducing clonal gamete formation in the parents that are to be crossed. Reciprocal recurrent selection can be used to inform selection of candidate potato lines that are either advanced to a gene editing or genetic modification system or crossed and selected to induce clonal gamete formation by arresting meiotic recombination and chromosome reduction. Crosses of parent plants bearing clonal gametes are planned and executed based upon predicted heterotic performance at the polyploid level. The final product is a homogeneous population of hybrid polyploid potato seed, or derivative thereof, bearing both parents' complete nuclear genomes. In some instances, the method is used to generate seedless plants.

Abstract: The present inventions relate to a breeding system for the production of polyploid maize seeds, maize plants, or maize plant parts where cycles of meiosis, syngamy, and selection are used for interpopulation improvement of progenitor lines, and sexual polyploidization occurs during hybrid production by inducing clonal gamete formation in the parents that are to be crossed. • Patent number: 11926619
Abstract: The present disclosure provides novel pladienolide compounds, pharmaceutical compositions containing such compounds, and methods for using the compounds as therapeutic agents. These compounds may be useful in the treatment of cancers, particularly cancers in which agents that target the spliceosome and mutations therein are known to be useful. Also provided herein are methods of treating cancers by administering at least one compound disclosed herein and at least one additional therapy.

  • Patent number: 5769448
Abstract: A foldable frame assembly includes two main frame units on which two seats can be mounted so as to permit two babies to sit on the front and rear parts of the stroller in a face-to-face relationship. The main frame units are designed so as to enable the seats to be turned to horizontal positions at the same time, thus permitting the babies to lie on the seats simultaneously. A spacer unit is interposed between the main frame units. The main frame units are interconnected by means of two aligned pairs of crossed links so as to perform the same operation when either is actuated in order to fold or unfold the stroller. A locking unit is provided on one of the main frame units for preventing the main frame units from movement relative to the spacer unit, and can be operated so as to permit one of the handle frames to move toward the other one in order to fold the frame assembly. Two handle frames are provided on the front and rear end portions for pushing the stroller in opposite directions.

  • Patent number: 5722682
Abstract: A foldable two-seater stroller includes a U-shaped seat frame, front and rear backrest members mounted to the seat frame. Two rear reclining adjuster units and two front reclining adjuster units are connected respectively to the lower ends of the front and rear backrest members. Front and rear legs are connected pivotally to the front and rear sections of the seat frame. A U-shaped handrail member is connected pivotally to the upper ends of the front legs. A pair of middle connecting rods are connected pivotally to the intermediate sections of the handrail member and the seat frame. A pair of rear connecting rods are connected pivotally to the rear sections of the handrail member and the seat frame. An inverted U-shaped handle unit is connected pivotally to the middle connecting rods by means of coupling members. The intermediate sections of the handle unit are connected pivotally to the upper ends of the rear legs.
