  • Patent number: 6637185
Abstract: Disclosed is a gas turbine power generating system capable of achieving a high output power and a high power generating efficiency under conditions with a small amount of supplied water and less change in design of a gas turbine. A fine water droplet spraying apparatus (11) is disposed in a suction air chamber (22) on the upstream side of an air compressor (2), and a moisture adding apparatus (7) for adding moisture to high pressure air supplied from the compressor (2) is included. A regenerator (5) for heating the air to which moisture has been added by using gas turbine exhaust gas as a heat source is also provided. With this configuration, there can be obtain an effect of reducing a power for the compressor (2) and an effect of increasing the output power due to addition of moisture to air (20) for combustion. Further, since the amount of fuel used is reduced by adopting a regenerating cycle, the power generating efficiency is improved.

  • Patent number: 5085948
Abstract: Disclosed is an alkali metal thermoelectric power generator comprising a plurality of thermoelectric converters, which are connected in electrical series to one another by an external electronic conductor device, each of the converters converting thermal energy into electrical energy by utilizing the phenomenon that an alkali metal, arranged on each side of a solid electrolyte, diffuses across the electrolyte if the density thereof on one side of the electrolyte differs from that on the other side of the same. The generator further comprises a piping consisting of a plurality of connection pipes for returning the alkali metal condensed in a second spatial region of each thermoelectric converter to a first spatial region thereof through a common pump. Further, the respective open ends of the connection pipes, which connect the respective first regions of the converters to one another, are positioned in those portions of the respective first regions where only the vapor phase alkali metal exists.

  • Patent number: 4440151
Abstract: A solar heat collector comprises an evacuated transparent pipe; a solar heat collection plate disposed in the transparent pipe; a heat pipe, disposed in the transparent pipe so as to contact with the solar heat collection plate, and containing an evaporable working liquid therein; a heat medium pipe containing a heat medium to be heated; a heat releasing member extending along the axis of the heat medium pipe and having thin fin portions extending from the axis to the inner surface of the heat medium pipe; and a cylindrical casing surrounding coaxially the heat medium pipe to provide an annular space which communicates with the heat pipe. The evaporable working liquid evaporates, receiving solar heat collected by the heat collection plate. The resultant vapor heats the heat medium through the heat medium pipe and the heat releasing member.
