  • Publication number: 20060083625
Abstract: To provide a control valve for a variable displacement compressor, which is improved in slidability of a shaft that transmits a change in suction pressure to a valve element, and enhanced in controllability. In a control valve for a variable displacement compressor in which a plunger of a solenoid is divided into two, i.e. a first plunger and a second plunger, and a diaphragm is disposed therebetween for sensing suction pressure, the second plunger is held by a spring urging the second plunger in a direction away from the diaphragm, and is caused to be simply in contact with a shaft that transmits a change in the suction pressure sensed by the diaphragm to a valve element. With this construction, even when an attractive force is generated by a solenoid to move the second plunger, no couple of forces act on the shaft, and hence the shaft is prevented from being spoiled in slidability, which makes it possible to enhance controllability.

  • Publication number: 20050169768
Abstract: To provide a control valve for a variable displacement compressor, including a plunger divided into separate members, which is improved in the attractive force characteristic and reduced in manufacturing costs. In a control valve for a variable displacement compressor, a predetermined space is formed between a holder and a small-diameter portion of a second plunger inserted into the holder, so that it is possible to reduce an attractive force acting in the radial direction of the second plunger during energization of a solenoid. On the other hand, opposed surfaces and 41a axially opposed to each other are formed on a large-diameter portion of the second plunger and the holder, respectively, and when the solenoid is energized, a magnetic circuit is formed via the opposed surfaces. This arrangement makes it possible to increase an attractive force in the operating direction of the second plunger.

  • Publication number: 20050053474
Abstract: To provide a capacity control valve for a variable displacement compressor of a Pd-Ps differential pressure-controlled type, which suppresses overshooting of the differential pressure between the discharge pressure Pd and the suction pressure Ps which can occur when the differential pressure is changed in response to a stepwise change in the solenoid current. The capacity control valve includes a valve section having a Pd-Pc valve for control of the flow rate of refrigerant flowing from a discharge chamber to a crankcase and a Pc-Ps valve for control of the flow rate of refrigerant flowing from the crankcase to a suction chamber operating in a manner interlocked with the Pd-Pc valve.

  • Publication number: 20040191078
Abstract: The object of the present invention is to provide a control valve for a variable displacement compressor, which is used for controlling differential pressure between discharge pressure and suction pressure such that the differential pressure becomes equal to differential pressure set by duty ratio control, and improved in characteristics thereof when it is in the vicinity of the valve-closing position. A valve section for controlling the flow rate of refrigerant at discharge pressure Pd to thereby supply refrigerant at pressure Pc to a crankcase is implemented by a spool valve structures. A spool valve element and a shaft arranged coaxially with each other are configured such that the spool valve element and the shaft oppositely receive the discharge pressure Pd and the suction pressure Ps, respectively. The differential pressure between, the discharge pressure Pd and suction pressure Ps, which is to be controlled, is set by a pulse current supplied to a solenoid section which is duty ratio controlled.

  • Publication number: 20040086391
Abstract: The object of the present invention is to provide a control valve for a variable displacement compressor, which is capable of controlling the variable displacement compressor to the minimum capacity without using an electromagnetic clutch, and can be constructed without accommodating a solenoid in a pressure chamber. A plunger of a solenoid is formed by a first plunger and a second plunger, and a diaphragm is disposed between them, for sensing suction pressure Ps, such that the first plunger controls a valve element via a shaft, with component elements of the solenoid except for the first plunger being disposed on a side of the diaphragm where the atmospheric pressure is received. Further, when the solenoid is not energized, the high suction pressure Ps urges the second plunger toward the core via the diaphragm, and a spring causes the first plunger to urge the valve element to the fully open position, which enables the variable displacement compressor to be controlled to the minimum capacity.
