    Abstract: A linear light assembly is for electrically connecting a first lighting track segment and a second lighting track segment of a lighting track to each other. The linear light assembly includes at least one linear light body including at least one light source for directing light away from the lighting track; a first electrical connector mechanically fixed to the at least one linear light body and configured for being inserted into the first lighting track segment; and a second electrical connector mechanically fixed to the at least one linear light body and configured for being inserted into the second lighting track segment. The first electrical connector and the second electrical connector are configured to transmit power from the power rails of the first lighting track segment to the power rails of the second lighting track segment when the linear light assembly is inserted into the first lighting track segment and the second lighting track segment.
