  • Patent number: 11952731
Abstract: A method for pivoting a travel unit on a machine frame of a road milling machine between an outer end position and an inner end position offset toward a center of the machine relative to the outer end position, the road milling machine having a travel mechanism with multiple travel units, of which at least one travel unit is height-adjustable via a lifting column, comprising the steps of positioning a support foot mounted on the machine frame in a ground contact position to support the machine frame, lifting the travel unit, pivoting the travel unit between the outer end position and the inner end position, lowering the travel unit, and positioning the support foot in a stowed position.

  • Patent number: 9764690
Abstract: The present invention relates to a self-propelled ground milling machine, comprising a drive engine arranged in an engine compartment and an engine compartment enclosure which covers the engine compartment at least partly to the sides and to the top. A part of the engine compartment enclosure is a cover which is adjustable between a covering position and a maintenance position. At the same time, a maintenance platform is provided which is movable between a stowage position and a maintenance position. When the maintenance platform is in the maintenance position, an operator standing on the floor surface of the maintenance platform can carry out maintenance work in the engine compartment of the self-propelled ground milling machine. The self-propelled ground milling machine preferably is a road milling machine, more particularly a large milling machine, a surface miner, a stabilizer or a recycler.

  • Patent number: 9162563
Abstract: The present invention relates to the exhaust gas guiding of a road milling machine. The road milling machine comprises an internal combustion engine, an engine air inlet, via which the engine air flows from the outside to the internal combustion engine, an engine air outlet, via which the engine air is conducted out of the road milling machine, a device for generating a flow movement of the engine air from the engine air inlet to the engine air outlet, and an exhaust system which is implemented for discharging the exhaust gases occurring during operation of the internal combustion engine from the internal combustion engine out of the road milling machine, having an exhaust gas outlet. The engine air is used to cool the exhaust gas.

  • Patent number: 8240440
Abstract: Apparatus for lifting a hatch which can pivot around a pivot axis, especially a hatch of a motor vehicle, by means of a piston-cylinder unit. The piston-cylinder unit has a closed cylinder filled with a pressurized fluid, the interior of the cylinder 6 being divided by a piston into a first working chamber and a second working chamber. A piston rod passes through the second working chamber and is guided to the outside through a seal at the end of the cylinder and then hinged to the hatch, whereas the other end of the cylinder is hinged to a stationary component. A through-opening leading from the first working chamber to the second working chamber, is provided in the piston. The through-opening can be opened by an electrically actuated valve.

  • Publication number: 20080289327
Abstract: The invention relates to a fluid linear drive having a cylinder (1) which is entirely or partially filled with a pressure medium. A piston (2) is arranged inside said cylinder so as to be displaced and has a piston rod (10) which is arranged at one end of the piston (2) and is led out of the cylinder (1) in a scaling manner. The piston subdivides the interior space of the cylinder into a first chamber (6) and a second chamber (7), the piston rod (10) extending through the second chamber (7). A pump (17), which is particularly reversible and by means of which the pressure medium can be pumped into the first chamber (6) and pumped off from the first chamber (6), has a first intake and/or pressure connection (18) and a second intake and/or pressure connection (19). The first intake and/or pressure connection of the pump (17) is connected to the first chamber (6) and the second intake and/or pressure connection is connected to a storage chamber.
